Stayed Jun 4, 2023We stayed for five weeks from the beginning of June to early July 2023. Alan's place was just wonderful. Whenever we had questions Alan was super prompt in responding - this makes such a difference for a VRBO stay. We loved the lakeside location, the enormous deck and the fire pit - a perfect month long vacation in a home away from home!

Stayed Sep 23, 2022We were all impressed with this location. It boasted a beautiful waterfront property with a large deck, dock and fire pit area. The ‘cottage’ had upscale amenities and a cozy fireplace. Our interactions with the owner was very pleasant. We recommend this rental and hope to return. Five star rating - Thanks Alan!

Stayed Sep 12, 2022Easy access everything we needed was available water sport dishes cooking linens etc Communication with property manager perfect. Would highly recommend quiet comfortable and at one with nature. Short bike ride to Awenda Provincial Park. We loved it thank you so much

Stayed Jul 17, 2022I want to thank Alan for accommodating my request to vacation at his property during a requested week. My family and I truly appreciate it! Our stay was absolutely great - all of us enjoyed different aspects of the property - huge hammock; pit fire at night; bbq meals and swimming in the lake. I was shocked as to how clean Farlain Lake water actually is. The listing could you a few more photos of the property and what it offers because it has everything you could possibly want. There's a good chance we would want to return to this property sometime in the fall.

Stayed Jun 5, 2022Overall the cottage and lake were a great experience. The house was clean and being able to use the various items added to the experience (board games, kayak, paddle board, life jackets) really added value to our stay! Only draw back was that one of the sleeping areas was outside the main house - beside the parking area. This could have been better advertised. Communication with Alan was top notch!
