Stayed Sep 30, 2022Our host was absolutely wonderful, warm and welcoming. The property was gorgeous and we stayed in the little cottage which was so cute and comfortable. Can't say enough, just loved it. Wish we could have stayed longer and wouldn't hesitate to come back - hope we can one day. Umbria is beautiful. Thank you Beatrice, you and your home are wonderful!

Stayed May 19, 2022We loved our stay here and hope to stay here again. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed lounging at the pool between adventures and soaking in the views of mountains and gardens from all directions. We typically walked into town (1.5 miles); the surrounding roads are beautiful. Rides were easy to arrange as well. Beatrice is an amazing host. I highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We absolutely loved our time at Torre del Falco. We were looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay in Umbria but also wanted to be within easy reach of a town should we feel like exploring. You are just a few kilometres outside Spoleto and it was very easy to drive down the hillside, park in the shade and wander in to explore the town. And there is so much to see – plenty of Roman archaeology and churches, frescoes and cafes to keep you occupied! We were also there during the Festival of Two Worlds which was an added bonus with plenty of events and concerts to choose from. The Nest is small as shown but is extremely tastefully furnished and we found the space very comfortable for our week’s stay. The kitchen is really well equipped and we ate outside mornings and evenings at the small table in our secluded area near the base of the tower. The gardens really are as wonderful as they look in the photos. You can swim in the amazing pool or simply sit and unwind gazing out across the hillside. Roses surround you everywhere adding to the elegance of the setting. We loved our characterful cat companions and the sweet miniature horses snorting in the olive grove. Beatrice is everything you would wish for in a host – helpful, kind and knowledgeable of the local area, restaurants and walking possibilities. We were only here for a week, and mainly to rest, so we didn’t explore very widely but our day wandering around Trevi following the Footsteps Trail was a day happily spent! Thank you Beatrice for our wonderful stay in your stunning location – we hope to return for a longer stay!

Stayed May 20, 2018Location: well off the beaten track, high on the hillside. You can sometimes hear the road far below, but the aspect is lovely. The property: The Nest is beside the Tower, and discreetly placed among trellis-work, with its own private space. However, the access out to the pool and the gardens is so simple. The garden is well-maintained (many flowers in bloom when we were there) and the olive estate at the far end of the property is a working business. The accommodation: 'Cosy' is a fair word, and it loses a review star for the lack of storage, and hanging space (eg for towels to air), but there is room enough in the fridge for essentials bought in from the shops and markets, and the bed was large and firm (with crisp linen). We had no trouble with mosquitoes, but there was good provision to keep them out. The wi-fi signal was fine, although it seemed to work better for the iPad than the phones ('limited connection' more than once. Maybe that was just us?) If you don't like cats, then the friendly 'confidence' of the residents will potentially be something you need to deal with; but we loved the company of Lala, Remolo, and several others - all clean and healthy and with affectionate characters. Service: Beatrice is a charming and discreet host, who will provide great local insights and valuable personal experience. If we needed anything, she would gladly research or enquire for us, and always with kindness and humour. Overall, this can either be a peaceful retreat where you can sit in the sun (or shade!),and devour books by day then dine out by night, or you can simply use it as a base for the many stunning historical towns and villages, and green valleys and mountains. Or, both. It was a pleasure to find, and we easily made ourselves at home there for our week's stay. Recommended!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The four days we spent in The Nest were so tranquil and relaxing that we hated to leave and can’t wait to return. The space is small, as the owner has accurately described and shown in the photos. But we found everything so carefully and thoughtfully arranged that the bedroom with queen bed, ensuite bath with shower, and kitchen/living room/dining area were very comfortable for two people. To make the most of the space, we unpacked our suitcases and put our clothes in the wardrobe and small chest, then stored the suitcases under the bed. The property, in the hills above Spoleto, is a very private, quiet location. Since the Easter weather was cool, the swimming pool was not open yet, but the setting for the pool was quite beautiful and we can only imagine what a wonderful place it would be to relax during the summer months, surrounded by the beautiful roses planted by the owner. She also lives on-site. The other three rental units were vacant so the owner was kind enough to show us those rentals as well. They were all beautifully decorated, with modern, well-equipped kitchens and each offered a reasonable degree of privacy with separate patio, balcony, or other outdoor space. One of the greatest assets offered by our vacation rental was the owner herself. Beatrice is a very kind, thoughtful, and helpful hostess. We arrived on Easter Sunday and all the supermarkets were closed so she insisted on driving into Spoleto to buy us some milk and rolls for the next morning’s breakfast. She told us she purchased the property about 10 years ago because she felt that it had a “good energy.” But we think she brought that good energy with her. We enjoyed spending time with her, her two Shetland ponies, and the various cats she has rescued. The cats are all tame and friendly. Communications with Beatrice were very smooth, her English is excellent, all rental terms were clear and as agreed on, and she responded promptly to all my emails. Spoleto, in central Umbria, is a wonderful location for visiting the nearby medieval hill towns, and Beatrice was very helpful in suggesting some of the best ones to visit. She also had good advice on places to shop and dine in Spoleto. Grazie mille, Beatrice!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I had an amazing time is Spoleto. Torre del Falco is a very relaxing and welcoming place to spend a few days. We stayed a week in this cozy apartment and are very satisfied. The pool area also is amazing and the host is extremely available and kind. I do recommend to stay there and I hope I will be able to go back sometime soon.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a superholiday at Torre del falco. The owner gave us a warm welcome and provided very good service during our stay. The property and also the swimmingpool was clean, although I think it is not suitable for small children. Spoleto is a very nice town to visit. ( but it can get very hot in summer)

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A very warm welcome kicked off a wonderful and relaxing holiday. We loved the cottage, it's beautifully decorated and in a stunning and peaceful setting. Although snug there was enough room for us and our baby and the cottage was equipped with everything we needed. The owner was lovely and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. She was great for tips on places to eat (a pizza place in an old church she recommended did excellent pizza, and Tempio del Gusto was also a top recommendation for a nice romantic dinner). Spoleto is a lively and interesting place with plenty to keep you occupied. The Nest is on the edge of town, and although it's within walking distance it would probably be advisable to drive at night because the country roads are very dark and windy. It also makes a great base for touring the other sights of Umbria. Unfortunately we didn't get to see as much as we'd planned - relaxing by the pool in such a beautiful setting proved too irresistable! I notice that a previous reviewer found there was not enough storage space. When we visited there was a large wardrobe and some drawers in the bedroom, so we had no problem unpacking all our luggage and then storing our cases under the bed.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Perfect for a relaxing holiday, ideally located close to the Town of Spoleto but on a private and quiet hillside. Both the Tower and the nest are furnished to a high standard. The jewel in the crown of this property is the pool and gardens, perfect for cooling off and relaxing after a days sightseeing.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The Nest is truly as beautiful as it appears on the photos, it's only drawback would be the size - if you don't want to trip over your suitcases, you need to put them under the bed and drag them out every time you need something from them (the shelves in the closet are too tiny to put your clothes on).
