The Island Gales Cottage: Spacious Family Retreat in the Heart of Cavendish

The host was amazing!!! They went above and beyond for our family! The cottage was everything we could’ve wanted!!! We loved the whole experience!!!!

Our home away from home! Owners Kevin and Lourdes created a cozy, welcoming and beautiful place to host PEI visitors! Our family of five absolutely loved staying here! Minutes from the national park and ocean, restaurants, Anne of Green Gables museum, and so many attractions, what a perfect spot! The cottage was very clean, comfortable and had plenty of space. The owners had dishes, appliances, blankets, dish soap, laundry detergent , etc all well stocked. Our boys loved playing in the backyard on the climber and swings. And we enjoyed the board games and puzzles in the evening. Kevin and Lourdes were easy to communicate with, and responded quickly. We recommend staying here!!! And hope to stay here again in the future!! Thank you Kevin & Lourdes!!

This was a great home base for a group of 4 adults exploring some of PEIs golf courses.Check-in was flawless. We were greeted by Kevin who gave us a brief, helpful orientation as well as a few goodies. . The property was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen and laundry facilities were very good

Over 5 stars all around! The place is gorgeous- very clean and has everything you could need and more! (From the kitchen, outdoor games and swing set, beach toys and chairs/wagon, welcome bakery treats). Booking was very easy and excellent communication. Amazing location for family to stay and explore PEI. Would highly recommend and plan to come back again!

Kevin and Lourdes have a beautiful place. It is a first class accommodation. It has everything you would want, very clean, ideally situated in the heart of Cavendish. They are very welcoming and helpful hosts.

This property was much more than we ever imagined it would be. It was by far the most clean and well stocked property that we've ever stayed in. The owners were thorough and generous and attentive and so very kind. We'll always cherish our time on PEI, and a large part of that is because of this home.

What an amazing place for our family to stay while attending a wedding nearby. Kevin and Lourdes have thought of everything! The home is gorgeous, beautifully decorated, and well-organized with the perfect outdoor space rain or shine. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Incredible property with a unique history. Loved it!!

Kevin and Lourdes have thought of everything and provide guests with more than we have ever seen at a rental property. Their home is beautiful, clean and thoughtful details are found throughout the home. Good quality kitchen utensils, appliances, plenty of serving dishes, glasses, cutlery etc. We were all so relaxed the moment we walked in the door. Kevin and Lourdes have created a little haven here. We would highly recommend!!!

Our group consisted of 8 sisters and sister-in-laws. We gather annually and found this gem two years ago and just had to come back. The house had enough beds to accommodate us all comfortably. The kitchen was very well stocked and the baker in our group made biscuits and cinnamon rolls. The house was so well decorated and the open concept allowed us to enjoy each other's company. The hosts were so friendly and welcomed our first arrival right away. They also had a couple of bottles of wine for us as a welcome gift. Everything was amazing during our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone. 10 STARS!!

This was an amazing property, well thought out and absolutely stunning grounds, beautiful garden combined with kids playground, adult seating and fire pit. Close to beach and entertainment for children like water park etc. Thanks for everything, Constance and Peter

We loved our stay at Kevin & Lourdes rental home. It was extremely comfortable. The location is great in the middle of Cavendish, there was plenty of room for our family to spread out, and the hosts were super helpful with recommendations. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Awesome place to stay for a group. Very clean, very accommodating, so much provided to guests - even tons of beach towels/toys! Yard was the perfect hangout spot, lots for the kiddos to do. My only comment is the road is quite busy because it’s the same road to KOA campground. Kiddos brought their bikes but we always walked with them , and first thing in the morning as it seemed to be the less busy time. Would be fine for older kids tho! Still a 5 star rating for stay.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage! We had 4 adults and 5 children (under 10) and it fit us all perfectly. The cottage was stocked with literally everything you could need for comfort, cooking and even for beach days (chairs, toys, etc). It was clean and spacious both inside and out. The yard is fairly private and it's located off the main road, so it's pretty quiet. Traffic is just from the campground down the road. Close to everything - walkable to most attractions in Cavendish or a short 2 minute drive. Would 100% recommend for larger groups. Hope to visit again next year! Thank you, Kevin & Lourdes!

Without a doubt the nicest and well thought out place we've ever stayed from VRBO. Hosts were very friendly and communication was fast and easy. Amenities covered everything which made our stay so much more comfortable. The place itself is beautiful, the pictures in the listing don't do it justice, we were all amazed and loved our stay. Beautiful decor, very well kept including the incredible landscaping around the property. Located right in town with easy access to everything. Hard to imagine a better place to stay in PEI!
