--Watch chickens free-range around the property (safe but as with all animals, interact responsibly).
--Occasional roosters on-site—may crow or act territorial.
--Friendly host family nearby to assist if you’d like to meet or hold a chicken.
--Antique store in barn (by appointment only).


⚠️ Safety, Accessibility Notes, & House Rules
--Homes are NOT baby-proofed (no outlet covers, no cabinet locks, furniture is not secured to walls, no cribs provided, etc). Guests are responsible for their safety.
--Loft safety: Low ceiling + railing gap—monitor kids closely
--Steep stairs to loft, may be difficult for guests with mobility issues
--Ticks & bugs: Farm environment—check after outdoor time
--Chickens & animals: Approach with care; interactions at your own risk
--Beehives: Located at back of property, do not disturb; bring EpiPen if allergic
--🚭 No smoking indoors or within 50 feet (violations result in $300 cleaning fee)
--No pets, parties, or events – we value the relationship with our neighbors, and strive to keep the home in top condition.
--No dirt bikes, ATVs, or off-road vehicles are permitted to be ridden anywhere on the property

--Check-In: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
--Check-Out: 10:00 AM
--Note: We always try to provide early check-in and late check-out opportunities when possible. (It is simply dependent on whether or not it’s a same day check-in/out, the condition in which the previous guest left the home, and our cleaners’ schedules.) Please notify us if you would like early/late check-in/out, and we will do our best to make it work! 🕚
Guests will receive key code & detailed check-in instructions via message on the morning of arrival.
--Michigan City operates on Central Standard Time (CST).

🛡️ Booking Requirements
We’re excited to welcome guests from all backgrounds and want to make sure every stay is enjoyable, safe, and comfortable for both you and our neighbors. To help us maintain a great experience, we ask that:
--The primary renter is 25+ with a verified government ID.
--A $500 damage deposit is required. This is returned after checkout once our team confirms the home is in good condition.

After booking, first-time guests are required to sign a standard rental agreement that reflects the house rules and booking details shown on this listing. Information provided is used solely to coordinate maintenance or schedule adjustments during your stay. This information is kept strictly within our team and is never shared externally.
