The Golden Valley: A rural paradise in the Sierra de Cádiz.

The view from the house were breathtaking. Very beautiful house. Pool looked great, but a bit chilly to get in. Good location. Note that is it easier to plug in the name of the place as opposed to the address when using directions. Host was very helpful and responsive.

Property surpassed our expectations. Luis and his family are excellent hosts. The property is truly special. We will return as soon as is possible!

The view is spectacular and the area is very quiet.

This property is amazing. Every day we discovered new and interesting things just strolling around the grounds. It was comfortable and quiet and felt perfectly safe and secure. Even the neighbor donkeys only said hello the first night. We did manage to lock ourselves out within the first hour we were on the property but the host was wonderful and came right back out to fix us. :) Would definitely stay here again and it made a great central location for us to explore the surrounding villages and countryside.

We enjoyed our stay! The house is cozy and the view is breathtaking. We had a little trouble at the beginning -- finding the meeting place and communicating with Luis but once it was sorted out, we were able to relax in the beautiful surroundings.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in El Gastor. The house was as pictured, though unfortunately it was unseasonably cold so we could not use the pool. Instead, we got to enjoy a fire most nights! The view across the valley is gorgeous, and the mountain peak just behind the house is also beautiful. We visited Olvera, Grazalema, Zahara, Setinil de las Bodegas, and Ronda; all nearby and easily accessible by car. We rented bikes in Olvera and cycled the Via Verde, and we hiked to the dolmen just up from the town. The Gastrobar in El Gastor has great food and views. Thank you Luis!

El Valle Dorado was the perfect perch for my husband and me to explore the beautiful white towns area of Southern Spain. The house is very comfortable, and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. We stayed during a cold snap, and the heating worked well. In warmer weather, the outdoor amenities like the pool and extensive outdoor seating areas would be wonderful. Host Luis speaks good English, and he and his parents were charming. The meeting point at the El Gastor gas station was convenient and simple to find. For larger groups, the fact that there is only one bathroom should be considered. For the two of us, it was no problem.

The best rental and our favourite spot throughout our trip around Spain. Luis' and his family are so kind, hospitable, easy to communicate with and host the most lovely property. Stunning views, poolside lounging and while we were there in January, the fireplace made for an extra cozy and relaxing evening. It is so well equipped you could host family dinner here and our only wish is that we stayed longer. Next time! Highly recommend as you explore El Gastor, the little white villages, the wine region, Ronda etc. Thank you Luis & Family

This property is really a dream, the owners are the most friendly people I have ever met during a holiday season, everything you need is available for self-catering.

We had very high expectations having read previous reviews of this property. It is fair to say that these were exceeded. In particular the pool, large, very clean and the surrounding area offering both sun and shade with a fantastic view. If you are considering booking this property, do not hesitate. We enjoyed all aspects of our stay.
