We loved our stay at the cove! The house was well stocked and comfortable. The attention to detail was delightfully surprising- the dog bowls for our buddy and the welcome bottles of wine were appreciated and unexpected. The neighborhood was walkable and friendly. We had family visit during our stay and we had a great time playing in the water and the large yard. This stay is human and dog approved!

Property and house well maintained with beautiful view. My dog loved the fenced in yard and we loved sitting under the tree.

The home was located in a quite neighborhood on the water. Very peaceful location. The property was a Quaint home. It had access for Kayaks on the river which was supplied by owner. Excellent sunsets. Close to restaurants and Chesapeake City.

We wanted a relaxing “home base” to retreat to before and after our son’s weekend baseball tournament at U of D and The Cove was the perfect choice! From the beautiful water views, to the cozy home, my family had a wonderful long weekend mini vacation. Ray and Ed were quick to respond to any questions, and the house was exactly as expected. We loved our stay and will certainly return in the fall!

The home is an older lake home, that you can tell has been successfully added onto and renovated over the years to allow for maximum usage. The furnishings are all comfortable and sturdy. We were afraid that there’d be a lot of small, fragile decorative items to put away from our small boys, but pleasantly there were none, and the home was still very pleasing to look at.My favorite part of the home is the deck facing the waterway and marina. That view was absolutely stunning, and we’d spend most of our time out there. We did not cook there, but there is a grill for use.My daughter-in-law enjoyed having use of the kayaks, and took our older grandson out on it, which he loved. We had just the right amount of communication with the owner and caretaker, we knew they were a phone call away if we needed them, but yet, we did not see or meet them, which works for us. A negative is that due to the adding on of the home, there is a rather large step up into the kitchen from the main entrance. We feel that could be marked a little better maybe, although that would deter from the look of the home, so I get why it is not. All in all, my family and I enjoyed our stay in the Cove on the Waterfront, and I highly recommend it to any other potential guests. Enjoy!

Great location, home was well stocked, we wanted for nothing. Many options for outdoor and indoor entertainment, fire pit was perfect for unwinding in the evenings while enjoying the beautiful view over the water. Our teenage boys spent more time without their phones than with them. Grateful for the kayaks and canoe this home offered as well as life vests.

The house was exactly as advertised with alot of antiques, hardwood floors and area carpets. The living room opened into a closed in porch that overlooked a deck the was right on the water. The side yard was fenced in and perfect for dogs. I would totally stay here again!

We enjoyed our second visit to the Cove ! The home is lovely and totally supplied with everything that you will need ! Beautifully and eclectically decorated with comfortable beds and plenty of seating for a large family. The view is beautiful as the home is directly on the water . ! Ed went out of his way to make us comfortable...and respected our time .We enjoyed the large property, the corn hole etc and the beautiful dock ..We used the kayaks last time but will use them again next time , as we plan on returning soon !Highly recommend The Cove for a wonderful visit!!!

The house had everything we needed. The living room and porch made for great gathering spots to look out to the water. The pictures don't do the place justice. We took the kayaks out and sat on the deck as much as the weather would allow. We had two perfect weather days! The beds were comfy and we hosted a dinner for some friends and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The furniture isn't new and fancy; it's homey and comfortable and fits the property perfectly. Ray was super helpful when we had a small issue with the dishwasher which was resolved right away. We would ALL highly recommend this gem on River Road and we hope to return.

This is a lovely home in the most beautiful setting. The home is very cozy, warm and inviting. The bed in the master bedroom is extremely comfortable. And, oh, that view! You could sit there all day and look at the beautiful water view. And there are some nice restaurants in nearby Chesapeake City. The owner was very warm and inviting. A great place to stay!

We were looking for a place not too far from Baltimore where the family could gather for Christmas. We wanted a picturesque view of water and a place where we could bring our dog. This charming house was all that and more. It has a cozy feel from the moment you enter. The interesting antique furniture pieces and art prints make it feel like you are visiting a family member‘s home. The owners quickly responded to a special accommodation we needed and even had the place decorated for Christmas.

We absolutely loved this cottage. Much bigger than the pictures led on. Perfect spot on the water. The weather ended up being beautiful for this time of year. We got to enjoy the dock and caught LOTS of fish. Channel catfish, flathead catfish, perch.. the bites were never ending and we fished right from the dock. I love the location also… everything is very close. Chesapeake Inn did not disappoint for dinner. It was delicious!! Spork Cafe for breakfast.. best breakfast I’ve ever had. Sarge’s Bait and Tackle had everything we needed. Great guy! This cottage is truly a perfect getaway for a couple or family. Love this place. Definitely will be returning.

The home was well equipped, location was good, but the view was worth it all by itself.

Enjoyed The Cove very much. Property has a nice long dock, deck, outdoor fire pit, enclosed porch, comfortable livingroom, kitchen, dining area, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms. We were there in September and it was quiet. Kayaks were available and easy to use from the beach/seawall area. Owner was helpful, and welcoming.

The Cove is one of the best places we have ever stayed! There was so much room, and they had anything and everything we could possibly need. The deck overlooking the water? I could live out there! When the wind got a little chilly, we moved into the sunroom which was warm and inviting with an amazing view. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We are already planning our next trip! Wonderful place with friendly and gracious host!

What a simply wonderful house to spend a family weekend visiting my daughter in college. Only 25 minutes from her school the drive was simple. The home was comfortable and fit our family perfectly. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and responsive. I will definitely return.

My friend and I had a girls trip for a few days. We very much enjoyed our stay at this home. The view from both inside the house as well as outside was beautiful. We had amazing weather and gorgeous sunsets. We were there during the week so the river seemed very quiet for our time. Not many boaters were our sailing. The house was clean and comfortable. There was a slight mix up on the lock number to be used to get into the house but a quick call to the owner got that cleared up quickly. We found a welcome note and wine as a welcome which was very thoughtful and appreciated from the property manager. The tv was very impressive as we watched some US Open while we were there. The surrounding area is lovely and we enjoyed a trip into Chesapeake City. I would not hesitate to stay in this home again. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

This was a perfect place for us. Beautiful setting. Peaceful and quiet. Well appointed house with plenty of space. After a very long and busy day we came back to this idyllic place Everything worked well for us here. I feel fortunate to have found it.

Beautiful view in an amazing setting. A quick ride away from great shopping and restaurants. Took a canal cruise and canoed right from our own personal dock. Grounds were perfect and so relaxing. The owner saw to every detail. a wonderful vacation.

Overall great time over a weekend stay. House is well stocked, very cozy, and no issues during our stay. Highly recommend for a relaxing get-away.
