The house is in a quiet location despite being right on the road. You will hear an occasional car but it was otherwise quiet and peaceful. The house has a good amount of natural light and the home is sited nicely so you benefit from morning sun without it blinding you.The views of Hosmer Pond from the front rooms downstairs and upstairs are lovely. We enjoyed having a cup of coffee in the enclosed porch off the kitchen every morning and it was magical to sit in the there in the late afternoon and evening.
We did not spend any time on the back deck, but the rock formations out back are pretty. The place was clean. The kitchen is basic, but worked for us for preparing hot breakfasts and afternoon snacks. The kitchen table was also a nice place to work at our laptops and the wifi was strong. The bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed and plenty of storage for your stuff. The stairs to the second floor are definitely steep (so of you have mobility/balance issues this will not be a good fit for you). Also if you’re tall (5ft 9in and above) you will have to be careful not to bump your head entering the doorway to the bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Despite those caveats, I would stay here again. It offers privacy, a water view, and is only a short (less than 10 minute) drive into downtown Camden.

The kitchen area is small. Very little work room if you want to cook a meal. We made it work. Used oven and stove top, both worked.

Kitchen was clean but sink light bulbs were blown out. Two other light bulbs were blown. No replacement bulbs were located. House gets decent amount of spider activity. The King bed was very comfortable. As mentioned in previous reviews there isn’t a major tv cable network just Samsung. The stairs are very steep. The 2nd review pointed this out. The host was very reachable.

Very nice cottage, location and great for fishing!Communication with the owner was excellent and very helpful. It is cozy and also has AC if it is hot out.The biggest surprise, as I am a serious fisherman is the bass fishery in Homer Pond. I fished 3 and a half hours - caught 25 bass. Most were small, but I caught one just shy of 5 pounds (4.75) and one just shy of 3 (2.95). About 8 good size fish - but the small ones are evidence of a healthy fishery. Fished from a kayak with put in across the street. The owner is adding a dock for next season! We will be back for sure.

This cabin was perfect for our little getaway. Only 5 minutes to downtown Camden and 10 minutes to Rockport. The host was a great communicator and gave us some great recommendations for the area. We only used the bed upstairs, so no opinion on the additional bedding. House was well equipped and stocked for anything you may need to cook meals, etc. Beautiful nature, mountain, and pond views.

Property was in an excellent location from which one could reach surrounding towns easily and other parks, etc. nice view of lake and excellent nearby swimming . House was fully stocked and was comfortable. In particular, we had several days of rain or heat, and the enclosed porch was a perfect room in which to sit and read during these periods. Both bathrooms are large and good.. Bedroom was comfortable, although the narrow steps leading up to second floor ( about which we were advised) would constitute a problem for individuals who had mobility issues. Would recommend booklet on how to navigate around television ( which we could do, but could not figure out how to get the major channels; the streaming and Roku channels were fine ). Some help could be a booklet explaining about the house and services (the only book was apparently of a prior property manager- when I called, she advised that she no longer managed the property) So I was confused about when and where to put out trash. A washer and dryer would be great, but not critical. All in all, a comfortable and most pleasing property.

Great location and very nice deck. We had difficulty with the low ceilings in the upstairs hallway and bathroom. The living room was darker than it looks in the picture. It would be better if there were a bureau in the bedroom for clothes and more cabinet space in the kitchen for food supplies.
