The Carriage House on Lake Superior I Lakeshore & Views I by Relax Open Air

Absolutely lovely carriage house in the Lester neighborhood, walking distance to Brighton Beach and Lester Park. It was cozy and perfect for us. The sounds of the lake, watching the boats go by, and the loon who swam by this morning - pure magic of the northwoods. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The carriage house was extremely clean and well maintained. The backyard was right on the water and we enjoyed both the yard and balcony. The space was wonderful. Easy drive to downtown and up the coast.

It's a perfect location for 2-4 adults that want to be on the lake shore and within reach of downtown and the canal. Very well kept and a well thought out design. We would definitely recommend it to others.

First visit to Duluth and this amazing Carriage House did not disappoint! Absolutely beautiful and inviting. We enjoyed the amazing views, the fully stocked kitchen, the light & bright rooms, the cozy fireplace and the super comfortable blankets and bedding. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen and grilled steaks on the grill. We enjoyed discovering all of the charming things to do in Duluth: the aquarium, Hartley Nature Center, bookstores, galleries, and great food. We went to Duluth Grill, The Silo and Blackwoods Grill. Just a fabulous visit. Thank you for such a lovely space. We will definitely return!

Beautiful, clean home right on the water. We saw ships go by and also watched surfers while snuggled up by the fireplace. We enjoyed the sound of waves day and night! The host was very responsive. Great stay!

The 3 story renovation was beautiful along with the setting on the water and great outdoor spaces. The king bed had a pillow top but sat on a wooden frame that needs replacing with a spring but might be difficult due to the slanted ceiling. The keurig coffee was a nice extra. Close to Lester park. A marker to find the driveway would help since house is tucked back.

What a lovely place on the water. Really relaxing view and everything you need to just chill for a few days. Lots of hiking nearby, and the best restaurant in Duluth is a short drive up Scenic Drive (New Scenic Cafe). Highly recommend.

Mother / Daughter weekend away! The home was extremely clean, beautifully positioned on the lake, and easy to access and park. The amenities were perfect, pleased to find laundry detergent available, coffee pods, firewood, etc. Would highly recommend. It is just as it looks in the advertised pictures.

Our family absolutely loved this cottage. My kids were begging us to buy it lol! We had a very relaxing time and would 100% recommend staying here.

Before we even entered the rental we were enchanted with the view. Lake Superior is RIGHT THERE!! It was amazing, but of course, it got better. Entering the space (quite easily thanks to Tabitha's instructions) magnified the water view. Once we took our eyes off the view, we realized how amazing the rental space is all on its own. The layout is exactly as described in the listing. Three floors with the lower level feeling like its own private oasis as there is a door to close off from the main level. There is a sofa sleeper down there which was great for naps. Very comfy. The main level has the living room with comfy furniture, kitchen, fireplace and of course, that stellar view. The kitchen is very well stocked. There is no garbage disposal, and that was no big deal, but just be aware. The upper level has the primary bedroom, bathroom and accessible storage for your belongings. The king bed is very comfortable. There are skylights which provide an incredible stargazing opportunity late at night (it was a bit too chilly to actually spend too much time outside). The location of the property is great. A grocery store was within walking distance. The road in front of the property takes you everywhere you need/want to be.The outside areas provided lots of seating, but again, it was a bit chilly to spend time out there for us.We very much appreciated that the space was so clean, organized and well cared for. We'll be back!

The Carriage House was exactly what we were looking for. The view is amazing and the location is fantastic. It felt cozy but still plenty spacious for my wife and me. It would also work great for 4 people so we may even bring our two kids next time. Everything was exactly as described. We will definitely be back!

One of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed at!

I knew when I pulled into the driveway I'd made the right choice for a quiet retreat spot to begin 2025. The amenities were great, including a clean, bright well stocked kitchen, comfy sofa to read and bed to rest. Spotless bathroom in the master suite, and beautiful views of my favorite Lake. I look forward to a return visit to this or the adjacent property soon.

The property is great, very well kept and clean. The kitchen is fairly stocked. The view is amazing! Could use more towel sets, both bath and kitchen. One set and having to wait for laundry is sort of annoying. Needs a small cocktail table in the living room for games. Overall a wonderful place. Tabitha was a pleasure to work with!!

Cannot say enough good things. Great location, right on the lake. Everything was clean and in great order. Walking distance to a grocery store as well as nice brewery. We would 100% stay here again and recommend to friends.

My husband and I came up with our 19-month-old for a 3-night stay and had the best time. The home was well stocked, easy to find, and close to grocery stores and restaurants. The view from the deck is beautiful and we enjoyed stargazing through the sky light at night. Everything was clean and communication with the owner was great. We will definitely be back!

Having spent 5 years in Duluth, I know the city fairly well. Understanding the hotels and locations, this was the first time I tried a VRBO and I will never go a different route. The house was BETTER than the listing and it made for an incredible weekend.

This house was wonderful, clean, sizable while being small (the impeccable design choices and intention at play makes this petite carriage house feel much larger than its square footage would suggest), and a view that is unmatched. Let us leave you with a reco, set that alarm for sunrise. A bonfire, coffee and sunrise watch adds to the wonderousness of this place. We wanted for not and it was exactly what we needed - relaxation!

The Carriage House is exquisitely magical. Every detail (inside and out) has been meticulously designed. The furnishings are luxurious. The lake views are unparalleled. I felt so comfortable and relaxed from the very first minute I walked through the door. When I sat on the deck I felt like I was in the lake - not next to it. The view is breathtaking. I can't wait to return!

We loved our stay at the Carriage House. One can tell that everything was thoughtfully decorated and appointed. The amenities were fabulous and I really appreciated the decaf coffee pods! The kitchen was nicely stocked and ready for cooking. The bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean. The bathrobes were a nice touch, and the towels and sheets felt lovely. Most importantly, the location was perfect - absolutely stunning views and tranquil surroundings.
