The Artist's Cottage is the ideal home away from home!

This cottage was very charming and full of personality. It was clean and thoughtfully decorated. The property owner went above and beyond to meet needs with extra little touches. It was comfortable and we loved our stay here.

This cottage is absolutley adorable! Cozy, comfy and effocient. Every need has been incorporated, I felt at home the minute I stepped inside. Impeccably adorned inside and out. The large yard was beautifully landscaped and a second private area is an added bonus. I can not say enough here but I have recommended it to my every friend and relative, this is the best value lodging in the industry!

Patti was welcoming and accomodated the weather restriction on my trip. Recommended many thrifting and antique locations, which I reallt appreciated!

The tiny home was perfect for two. Wish weather had cooperated as we had to leave a day earlier for home as there was an impending ice storm. Well kept space and very clean. Local restaurant Keg and Egg was close and friendly.

The Artist’s Cottage is such a beautiful space. So intentional and beautifully curated. Everything you could want or need is provided for a relaxing visit. Patti is a wonderful host!

Our stay at the cottage was amazing! It was peaceful and relaxing. It was a time for my partner and I to reconnect and explore Wilmington and at this rental we were able to do just that. Thank you Patti for providing such a beautiful and quaint experience for us to share together. We especially loved the complementary decoupage shell we were able to take back with us. It’s meaningful to have something to remind us of our time together. We can’t wait to come back soon.

The Artist Cottage was absolutely adorable. Upon entering you are surrounded with artwork and unique decorations. My stay was so nice and peaceful, I really didn’t want to leave. Patti provided snacks, breakfast food and a wide variety of coffee and tea. I can’t wait to return! What a relaxing retreat!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely little cottage. It was well equipped and close to shops and restaurants. Our host was friendly and quick to respond when we had a minor issue. We would definitely stay in this cozy cottage again!

Such a lovely property, in a beautiful neighborhood! From the blooming gardens surrounding it, to the sweet space within. Immaculately clean, cozy and thoughtfully decorated. Comfy bed, adorable kitchen supplied with everything you could need. And, our host had special touches everywhere you looked ... sketch pads/pencils, puzzle books, crochet hooks/yarn, dvds, board games, even an acoustic guitar w/lesson book! A charming private patio w/fairy lights completed our accommodations. If you're headed to Wilmington, book The Artist's Cottage! It truly is a home away from home. Patti is a delight and we're so grateful we found her.

What a beautiful place. Your cottage has rissen to the top of our places to revisit. I strongly recommend Ft. Fischer for beaching and a ferry ride to Southport is a must.

Everything about our experience was fantastic. Check-in was super easy. The cottage was immaculate and so charming. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

Very pleasant, comfortable, quiet.

I was so excited to stay here, but do not feel like the reviews matched the place I was. The cottage was cute, and it had a surplus of fun activities for us to do, and the host was nice. However the cottage was not clean, the fridge and freezer did not appear to be properly wiped down in a very long time, with gunk built up on all the shelves. I was excited to use the keurig and the k-pods next to it, but after an inspection I realized the keurig had the filter completely removed from it and I found small mold spores in the water compartment. The oven wasn’t disgusting but it too hadn’t been properly cleaned and smoked quickly with the food remnants from previous renters. The bathroom was mostly clean, however, the ceiling had black mold above the shower. Lastly on our final night I found a large cockroach scurrying around the living room. I was able to kill it and informed Patti which she apologized for and insured me they sprayed monthly but bugs can still get in due to the location. I believe her, however, it still was not an experience I’d want to deal with again. The place was cute but too cluttered with items that didn’t need to be there—large random furniture and about a hundred framed pictures. Again, the host was pleasant, but the experience was not and did not meet my standards of “clean” at all. I hesitate posting this, but I wish I had a better idea of the cottage myself before I rented and would appreciate an honest review.

Very nice

The owner has simply thought of every detail in making our weekend stay perfect ! Sitting in a nice , quiet, residential area it was completely private including your personal patio in back of the cabin . We had a very busy weekend visiting our daughter as she finished up her final year of softball at UNCW. The college was only a ten minute drive and fifteen minutes from Wrightsville Beach . Great location! My only complaint is that we did not have a down day to just relax at the cabin . From crocheting and drawing baskets , music instruments, movies , magazines and puzzle books or simply sitting in one of the outside areas to enjoy the gardens having a day to just relax would have been great ! Maybe next time!

Everything about the property indoors and out is enchanting! Check-in was a breeze, and the inside of the cottage was as pictured, if not better! There were so many nice little touches to welcome us there. We look forward to returning!

I loved every little detail!

My visit was great! I loved the unique way the cottage was decorated. The location was a very peaceful neighborhood and it was convenient to a lot of tourist attractions.

This cozy cottage was close to our son and we were able to have our own space. Both of us were design majors so it was a special environment for us with plenty of beauty in the surroundings to draw. We will return to this special location.

All around great property and stay.

Very quaint and centrally located. Full kitchen, washer and dryer, private outdoor area, one floor living and easy parking!

We stayed here for a short getaway, chose this location for ease of going to State Park and Ft.Fisher, etc. Host was responsive when we had trouble heating the cottage, unusual cold snap during our stay. Kitchen is great as is space.. Only comment: would prefer a few less decorative items so hooks,surfaces could be used for intended purpose. Would definitely stay here again!

The stay was wonderful but vrbo app failed to work (problem on their end) day of checking in. I couldn’t look anything up and had to find a different way to contact host which was inconvenient

Lovely cottage, extremely well appointed, lots of art; we found everything we needed there. Perfect location for our visit to Wilmington. The cottage was thoughtfully furnished with items to entertain ourselves, help us learn more about the area, and make our stay extra nice.

Cute little place just the right size for our quick trip to NC for a race. The cottage was clean and plenty of amenities during our stay. Close to restaurants and amenities. Patti was quick to answer our questions and calls. Had the pleasure of meeting her the day before we left.

We couldn't have had a more pleasant experience at the Artist Cottage! It was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Patti had everything available that you would want & then more than you even expected. We felt so welcomed upon entering. The surroundings were so beautiful, we didn't want to leave! The area is charming and close to many things. We would definitely stay here again! Patti even had a lovely souvenir for us to take home that we will cherish. The best experience!

We enjoyed our stay here. The outdoor dining area was enjoyable day & night, hearing the wind through the pine trees, owls at night & hummingbirds in the morning. The street was quiet enough for long morning walks, etc. We had ample kitchen stuff to make many of our own meals but good restaurants & shopping were not far off.

The Artist Cottage is a great place to stay in Wilmington. Patti the owner is a kind, caring individual. I notified Patti that I was running late, due to two flight delays. She had the lights on in the cottage and the AC running. The cottage has everything a weary traveler needs. 5 stars!

This charming cottage was the perfect place for a brief visit to Wilmington. The owner has gone out of her way to decorate the entire space, inside and out, in a creative, fun, and peaceful way, and the care and forethought put into all amenities and details absolutely shows. It is private, quiet, and safe. Easy access to the property and in a great location. I will definitely stay here again should the need arise!
