Tara Cottage - pet friendly

Felt very secluded yet close to town. The set up is very well done.

The property was in a relatively quite location with only distant and faint traffic sounds. The magpies were in good voice. The spa was a welcome inclusion to help relax tired muscles. There wer no negatives from our perspective. Thank you to our hosts, we enjoyed our stay.

Very comfortable, meticulously clean, sleek, well stocked movie and games for rainy days. Kitchen looked small but it was so well designed and had EVERYTHING and lacked nothing

Private and very quiet. Very clean and tidy. Close to the street and shops. Amazing view especially at night. Has everything a couple requires.

Beautiful quiet little cottage close to town with all required amenities - beautiful bottle of wine left for us and comfy warm bed ! Spa was lovely and cottage very clean ! Easy access and gardens beautifully kept. Excellent selections of dvds and games and fetch tv - coffee maker and outdoor settings. Would highly recommend !

A lovely little cottage in walking distance to the town with great views. Very clean and well equipped. Our little dog Bertie also enjoyed the stay.

We found the floor inside dirty in places. The bed hard and uncomfortable. The dog run and the general yard overgrown. Our small pet was snagged three times on the long thorny blackberry stems even though he was on the lead at all times. The grass required mowing.The cottage was well appointed and in a good location close to town.

Great little place to stay with a lovely view over Daylesford

Quiet and cozy cottage with everything we needed. Love the jacuzzi bath. Very suitable for couples to retreat.

The property was very well appointed for a short or medium length stay for two. A small area for dogs at the front is fully enclosed however the backyard is open. The location as a short walk to central Daylesford or Hepburn Springs is ideal to not need to drive much once you arrive, but a short drive and you’re in Creswick or Castlemaine. Walking Lake Daylesford was definitely a highlight. The property is an ideal base for a relaxing holiday.

Lovely cottage, close to the township. Very clean and has everything you may need for a lovely relaxing stay. My dog Banjo enjoyed his stay as well, dog bowls and treats were a nice touch to make him feel welcome.

Stayed at Tara overnight for the 19th-20th of August with my fiancé and dog Ajax and it was utter perfection. The location, the layout of the cottage, the views and it being dog friendly? What else could be better? We loved every minute of it and will definitely be back! Thanks Prue!

Great location, fab view, comfy bed, thoughtful layout, very dog friendly, warm ( it was chilly when we visited), kitchen had all you need, lots of space.

very suitable for people with dogs, property is not fenced but there is a dog yard that is fenced at the front of the property, the mud room is a stand out, would love to make it my yearly holiday

Very cute place nice and close to main strip, it was going to be a hot day and it was very nice to walk in and have the aircon already on.

The property is well-appointed with appropriate kitchen appliances, w-fi, etc. but for me its superlative point is the garden. An ideal space for my energetic dog to endlessly chase the ball.This is my second stay and I will definitely come back.

TARA is in a great location. Quant home with everything you could possibly need and want for a night of relaxation.

Delightful house with wonderful view.

This cute little cottage is perfect for a couple or solo trip, house was cosy and has a decently stocked kitchen with all the basics you’d need. Really comfy bed, it was lovely having a slow morning (due to a generous midday check out) relaxing and watching the birds in the backyard. Will definitely visit again! Pam was an excellent host, great communication and cottage was clean and tidy.

It’s a bit like something out of a fairy tale: behind an impenetrable wall of plants and small trees, lies a hidden beauty. Fortunately accessible down a charming pathway. The house is just right for two people (no pets in our case). It is quiet and comfortable with a gorgeous old established garden full of rambling roses and lovely scents. And the view across the valley to Wombat Hill and the convent is perfect. We felt transported to another time, whilst having all of the modern conveniences in abundance.

Having had a short break at Tara Cottage some years ago, we were happy to stay there again. The cottage is cosy and comfortable in a quiet area. Everything you need is supplied. Dogs are welcome. Excellent for a short, relaxing break.

We enjoyed our stay in Daylesford at Tara cottage. We travel with our dog and the amenities were good. My only criticism is that the cottage has a steep uneven set of steps to enter with a rather rickety hand rail. It had been raining and was rather muddy around the front door. I didn’t feel safe going up and down the steps to the road where our car was parked.
