Sycamores Cottage is one of five holiday cottages which is part of Character Farm Cottages. It is situated on our working farm 5 miles to the West of Weymouth and a stones throw form the stunning Chesil Beach and Jurassic Coastline. Stayed Sep 13, 2024Beautifully put together cottage with a fantastic garden rendered private by clever use of screening. Great weather so perfect opportunity at the location to undertake walks locally or after short drives. All the equipment we needed and comfortable beds. Plumbing made some interesting noises upstairs but all worked.Fabulous memories

Stayed Aug 6, 2021The cottage was well equipped with everything you could need. There were garden toys in the shed for the children and the games room is a great option. It would have been handy to have more hangers in the wardrobe and the bathroom needs a toothbrush holder on the wall. Maybe let people know that the doorways within the cottage are low as this was a slight issue for my husband who lost count of how many times he banged his head. Overall it was a lovely break away.

Stayed Jul 12, 2019The Sycamores is a lovely old cottage which was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and maintained, and exactly as described on the website. The two bedrooms were both generously sized and the beds very comfortable. Our hosts provided full contact details and called in to check that everything was satisfactory. The highlight of our visit for my grandson was that, in the field at the back of the spacious, rear garden, cows from this working dairy farm could be found grazing! The cottage is very well situated for visiting some amazing attractions and, altogether, we had a fantastic break (long weekend), in a particularly beautiful corner of the country.
