Sunrises and Sunsets to Remember on the Chain O'Lakes in Waupaca, WI #4

Had a great weekend at this property. Nancy was a generous and attentive host. The kids enjoyed taking the paddle boat out.

I enjoyed everything about my stay. The lake was perfect for paddleboarding and just lounging and swimming. The mornings are so peaceful and the fire pits outside the unit were so nice to have. Plenty of seating outside and the unit was well furnished, clean and surprisingly spacious. The owners are so friendly and helpful. Because there are 4 units you will see your neighbors outside however we lucked out because reserved during weekday and it was quiet and provided all the relaxation that was needed. Plenty of parking and loved being located at a dead-end road. Highly recommend the chain o' lakes and this cabin for families, friends and even for a solo get-away. I did a little of everything from kayaking to paddleboarding to mountain biking and hiking the nearby state park. Definitely will come back. Note, there was no AC in the unit however plenty of fans and even a couple space heaters provided for your convenience. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It’s a very cute clean cottage. Unfortunately our first hour after getting there we found out there would be no water. Water pump went out and would be repaired asap. The owner brought us acouple gallons of water but didn’t realize the amount of water needed to flush toilets all day. The elderly men in our group had to go down the hill to lake and haul trash cans of lake water to keep us supplied. Still no message from owner and in morning we had to go out to eat because no running water. The water pump did get fixed by noon Sat but water pressure was a very low.. not enough to shower or do dishes. Another thing the cottage was supplied w ceiling fans but no AC.( one window unit would’ve been nice) . That made for a hot uncomfortable sleep. Sat we did pack up and leave one night early. It was a shame! Cute place .. pretty lake.. but note it’s a lot noisier than expected due to party pontoons with blasting music all day. If you travel with a dog this is a good spot to let your dog roam freely.. I didn’t appreciate that too much. I will request a part refund for inconvience and discomfort. I really don’t think it’s even legal to rent a unit w no running water. I was sad it was such a bad experience! Again it’s cute and clean but very poorly managed.

Unit in a beautiful spot, a resort with four units together. Clean and well kept. One of the best lakes on the chain.

The property is beautiful! Very quite and peaceful.

Everything was as advertised and weather was cooperative. I wish host had provided some wood for fire ring as it is not readily available. Otherwise it was great.

We had a wonderful time!!This little cottage is just perfect, besides being kid friendly it's located on one of the best lake. We look forward to booking this place again in the future.

We were up here the last weekend in September of 2017, basically for the Pig Roast at The Wheelhouse, and our group enjoyed the quaint cottage and loved it here. It was nice and clean and the big thing to us was that it was not musty. Some other places had musty smells to it. This is a nice place overlooking the lake. We had nice neighbors that we had bon fires with friends from California. We would stay here again.

The owners of this property are extremely nice and generous! Very responsive to any questions or needs we had. We are regular renters of VRBO properties, and it was great to have a few of the basics on hand already. There was a fresh bag of ice, plenty of paper products and the place was very clean. The kitchen was recently remodeled, and was perfect for our group of girls. Furniture is comfy, patio furniture is plentiful! Grill, fire pit provided. Even though we didn't use it, there was working wifi and tv/cable. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and dinerware, and even though we brought a few basic items for the kitchen just in case we didn't need them. Ceiling fans and regular fans for each room, heat if needed. Plenty of blankets, bring your own sheets including pillow cases and plenty of towels. The dock by the water/beach was huge! The water was clear, and it had a nice sand bottom. This is a no wake lake, so it was very peaceful. Besides our food and drink, we only had to invest in fire wood for the pit and charcoal for grilling...which was to be expected! Our one concern before arriving was about this being a four plex and having neighbors close, but we couldn't hear our neighbors and there was plenty of space where we didn't feel any intrusion. We highly recommend booking this property, and will come again!

We stayed a weekend in mid October, and had the place to ourselves. This cabin has all we wanted and no frills. The owners were friendly and responsive. On a quiet dead end road, so our dog was able to roam around. The chain o lakes is absolutely beautiful.
