Summer escape for 2 at Private Cottage! A 5 min drive to Peddlers Village!

I had an excellent experience at this cottage. It was quaint, well-stocked with everything we needed, and impeccably clean. The location was excellent, tucked away but not a far drive from the local attractions.

The host was exceptional and the cottage was very cute and cozy. Really enjoyed our stay!

Our host, Patty, was absolutely exceptional—warm, welcoming, and wonderfully accommodating. Dawdle Acres feels like a true storybook retreat, living up to its name in every way: picturesque, charming, cozy, and deeply relaxing. The exposed brick walls and thoughtfully chosen country-inspired touches create such an inviting, homey atmosphere that you immediately feel wrapped in comfort and calm. It truly feels like you’ve escaped far from the hustle of everyday life, yet you’re still just minutes from New Hope, Lambertville, and Peddler’s Village, which offer fantastic shopping and dining.Every detail has been lovingly considered. The queen-size bed was extremely comfortable—which says a lot, as I have a bad lower back—and the soft sheets and fluffy towels added to the overall sense of luxury and care. Although we were too busy to use the fire pit, we loved starting our mornings with coffee in the cozy igloo.It was the perfect cozy weekend getaway for my husband and me, and we’re looking forward to returning for another stay!

Patti was a great host. Communications prior to our stay were great and Patti was very responsive with great recommendations for hiking, food, local attractions and entertainment. Loved the extra bonus of being able to book a massage during our stay! The cottage was as advertised. Very private, welcoming, and perfect for the two of us! The location is also perfect - right in between New Hope and Doylestown! Easy access to all of the wonderful Bucks County attractions.

This gorgeous cottage is amazing!! Every single detail is perfect and stunningly beautiful. Our host Patricia is over-the-moon thoughtful and accommodating. A “must experience” when you are considering the New Hope/Peddlers Village area.

Lovely cottage. Rental has everything you need for a cozy stay. Host included a lot of extra details such as games, puzzles, and and thoughtful snacks. Rules are clearly written and host reiterates with you for clear understanding. Checkout instructions are posted and host reiterates them via text prior to checkout. It is very clear that following the rules are important and preserves the cleanliness and tidiness of the rental. Located about 20 to 25 minutes from downtown New Hope.

Amenities were immaculate. Loved our complete kitchen. Patricia was lovely and caring, that our stay met our expectations. Actually, they exceeded our expectations. Thank you.

This was the perfect place for us. Patricia met us at the cottage and was very welcoming. Super nice, went over every detail of her cottage, best places to eat at and places to visit. The cottage is gorgeous! The pics don’t really do it justice. It’s warm, comforting, safe, and close to the places we wanted to visit. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the New Hope area.

This cottage is adorable! The owners are incredibly thoughtful with a number of really nice touches throughout the home. The mattress and bedding were so comfortable, which is usually the one area I have trouble with when I stay away from home. The area is awesome with a lot of neat things to do. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend away!

Perfection! From the gracious hosts to the quiet, country atmosphere this place is perfect. Beautifully decorated and clean. Close to Peddler’s Village, quaint river towns, and wonderful restaurants.

We had a beautiful short stay at Dawdle Acres. The attention to comfort for the guests was amazing. There wasn't a thing that was forgotten. Patti has a meticulous eye for detail and we truly felt like guests in someone's home. Communication was effortless and responsive. We can't say enough about this experience. We would stay here again eagerly.

The cottage was lovely. It had everything needed to make for a great stay. The kitchen was well laid out and well equipped. The living area had a comfortable sofa, a small table and comfortable chairs and a desk and chair. The bedroom and bathroom upstairs were great too. The bed was comfortable. Everything was super clean and well maintained. The location was ideal. The host was very welcoming and helpful. She provided good tips for things to do in the area and places to eat. I appreciated her input. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. It was the perfect place to stay.

This unique “tiny house”-style retreat is full of comforts, character (it’s a thoroughly renovated historic ice house featuring classic Pennsylvania stone!), and charm (witty games and puzzles, thoughtful writing and drawing materials, local color like maps and coffee table books featuring the area). Lap robes for the outdoor seating, a gas fire pit in the private courtyard, a smart TV in the cozy loft bedroom are all designed for indulgence and relaxation. We were in the area visiting family, so did not fully vet the kitchen, but it offers all the right apartment-scaled appliances and cooking essentials (I checked it out!) neatly stored and helpfully labeled. I extensively used and enjoyed the Keurig! The mattress was comfy, the shower had good water pressure, the cleverly stored stacked w/d was convenient, and climate control was perfect with options for everything from heat to tower breeze fan to A/C. The rural wooded setting created an “away from it all” feel, while downtown Doylestown, a fancy restaurant and Starbucks were about 5-20 minutes away.There was a rooster in the morning (and sometimes afternoon!)—what more can I say? The hosts checked us in personally, offered help anytime, and returned to their compound next door, available but respectfully separate, like good neighbors! We would stay again if the opportunity arose.

My husband and I have been coming here for 3 years now for our anniversary get away. The owners are wonderfull people. They are like family. The cottage is a hidden gem very relaxing and cozy where you are able to reconnect. Love the new outdoor space. The cottage is centrally located to a lot of restaurants and activities. Will be back next year

Wonderful weekend ‘at home’! Everything was provided for a perfectly comfortable and relaxing vacation. Property exactly as described. Patti and her husband were welcoming, helpful, thoughtful hosts. Wouldn’t have changed anything - we even enjoyed the rooster salutation each morning!

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful property for our wedding getaway, it was absolutely spectacular. Set back in the beautiful foliage and lush landscape, my wife compared it to being in the forests of Costa Rica. The location was great aswell, surrounded by food, entertainment, and outdoor adventures. Overall such a clean and cozy property with everything you could possibly need. The outdoor igloo was so unique and fun. The host was absolutely the best, very caring and accommodating with great food recommendations and hospitality. In addition we had lots of privacy and full use of the cottage. This stay was beyond all expectations! We would highly reccomend it to anyone for a wonderful getaway.

It’s a very cute cottage. Very clean. She has everything from great snacks, cold water, iron, steamer. Her and her husband live right next to this cottage and are there if you need anything. Given the no shoes policy it would be nice to have a bench by the door to sit on to take them off. There are roosters so if you wake up easily keep this in mind but I was able to go back to sleep. It didn’t bother my husband who is a deep sleeper. They have a cute outside area with a fire pit and chairs. We sat in the igloo due to rain and it was a nice place to hang out. The area is beautiful and close to Peddlers village. We ate at Caleb’s for breakfast. It’s a great place. There is a Wawa very close for extra waters, pop, and snacks. We highly recommend staying here.

Well maintained property on 10 acres makes you fee like you're far away yet close to home (we only lived 30 mins outside). Owners were great and property was meticulously maintained. You would think you were the first one's ever to stay there. So cozy and comfortable. Get the massage. :) Will be staying there again. 5 stars

The cottage is comfortable, private, beautifully decorated and just right for two people. The weather was unseasonably warm for the end of March, so we didn’t use the igloo, but did spend time reading and relaxing on the patio. So nice to have an outdoor space. The kitchen is well stocked, with a full size fridge. The hosts are gracious and gave us tips about the area that were spot on. They keep chickens, and fresh eggs are available for purchase. One of the hosts is a licensed massage therapist who will set up right in the bedroom. Lovely massage and even more relaxing since you don’t have to leave! Things to consider: bathroom and bedroom are upstairs. Shower is small but adequate. Sofa in downstairs sitting area is quite comfortable for two, but you couldn’t sleep on it. This is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed, and would definitely stay here again.

The owner Patti thought of every single solitary detail from the decorations to anything you could ever need during your stay. The house was absolutely immaculate and so beautifully decorated. I never wanted to leave.!!

We were met by Patti at the time of our arrival. She showed us around and everything was easy to understand. The house is small, cozy and very comfortable. It was too cold to be able to use the outside though we would have loved too! The igloo and fire pit area looked very inviting! They have everything you need for a comfortable stay😊. You need to stay here!! Patti and Scott are wonderful people. The place is pristine clean and beautiful. Patti has snacks and toiletries, games, books and movies to enjoy, above and beyond!! Even though the cottage is behind their home, it is very quiet and relaxing. It is a unique place to stay and the best part is that their dogs are all adorable rescues!!! It is easy to get to and lots to do in the area. Will definitely stay here again sometime.

The cottage was even better than what we were expecting! Rustic but with every comfort you could want. We were able to enjoy the outdoor sitting area for morning coffee and our evening wine. The cottage is very private, clean and decorated as if you plucked a picture from a magazine! The wooded landscapes made us feel like we were truly away from the busy world, but when we were ready to be our sociable selves, Peddler's Village and New Hope were nearby! Our hostess was extremely kind and helpful. I feel like Patricia was as excited for us to have an enjoyable stay as we were. We will be back!

We had a simply beautiful, relaxing stay. The pictures capture the essence of the cottage but there is so much more. Patti and Scott have created a space that is a slice of heaven. We needed for nothing. The cottage was immaculately kept. From the drive up to the door , to the cottage itself, Patti decorated every inch as if it should be in a magazine. We had a lovely stay at this charming and cozy cottage. It is in a beautiful setting, close to New Hope, but still peaceful and quiet.

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. It’s an extremely clean and cute cottage! It’s a pretty secluded area but close to the owners property. It was a bit out of the way and you will need to drive everywhere you want to go. The air conditioning is very loud as a heads up but everything else went great.

This is a great property! Very quiet and peaceful. My wife says there is the best equipped VRBO we have stayed in. Patricia and her husband are great hosts and I definitely recommend staying with them if you have the opportunity.

Cabin is on beautiful quiet secluded property but still just minutes from everything . Bed was so comfortable and cabin has everything you need.Patricia and Scott were great hosts and were only a text away for any help with anything or recommendations.definitely plan on going back .

The host apparently does EVERYTHING by texting and NOT telephoning. After making our reservation I was texted where are you coming from? I replied NJ. The description of the property also mentioned if you wanted fresh eggs let the host know, which I did. Another text asked when we would be checking in. I replied between 2 and 3 PM I immediately received a text informing me check in is 3PM. Also this being my first experience with VRBO I requested the address of the property so I could see exactly how far travel time it would be. I only received the address from VRBO the day before we were coming. While driving to the property I again received a text from the host asking my ETA. I did not respond to this as I WAS DRIVING. We arrived at the property at 2:15PM. Upon walking up to the enterance to the unit it had a comb lock on it and no note as to what the combination to enter was, NOR was there any note as to where to get it. As the host lived in a house directly next to the unit, I walked up to the front door of the host's house thinking you have to first check in before you are allowed into the unit. There was no door bell on the front door so I knocked and entered and said HELLO, more than once. The host then came from a back room screaming what are you doing in my house, I was going to call the police. After she finally calmed down we went to the unit and was shown the comb and how to enter the unit. We never received any eggs and the unit smelled musty and damp.

Patricia is a fantastic host! She met us when we arrived and talked through everything in the cabin to make sure we felt comfortable. She even provided us with farm fresh eggs and fresh donuts for breakfast! The propane fire pit was easy to use and a treat to sit around in the evening. We barely spent any time out and about because we were so comfortable staying in and relaxing. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone!
