Star Of The Sea! Charming 3-bedroom cottage in York!

Such a special home with a spectacular view!

I couldn't say enough good things about this house and the location! Everything was just perfect for us for the week...the Nubble light house is a short walk around the corner and the ice cream shop is even closer. The deck was an amazing spot to sit and relax and enjoy the views. We loved just relaxing at the house, but we did day trips to Freeport, Portland and Kennebunkport - all were within 45 minutes to one hour, so doable day trips! I would love to come back next year!! Hole was very clean. Had everything we needed. Only downside was no AC. Bedrooms got very hot. Would rate it 9/10 for only that reason.

We arrived at night and could tell that we were in a beautiful area but when we got up in the morning we were stunned at all of the views. And, just a short pleasant walk away from the home lead to everything that the area has to offer. We would most certainly return here.

This was the perfect place for our family. My wife and I brought our 1 year old daughter and we were in walking distance to pretty much everything York has to offer. Dunne’s is right across the street and we got ice cream every night! Beautiful views of the ocean and Nubble Lighthouse. We will be back again for sure!

The house is quite clean and comfortable and the ocean view is stunning with Nubble Lighthouse perfectly framed in the living/dining room window. We walked to dinner and ice cream for dessert. Morning coffee on the deck was magical watching and listening to the ocean and the abundant native birds. I hope I have another chance to visit Star of the Sea. Next time I would not spend the extra money for the linens as we needed to make the beds ourselves anyway.

Perfect in every way! The pictures are true : ) My daughter and her young family joined me and it was a breeze. The home’s layout is ideal for a crawling baby and sleeping arrangements are spacious and very comfortable. Definitely returning . The owner and property manager are so kind and prompt. My parents come up to York every year for the Octoberfest. This year we decided to find a VRBO to come with them, and this property was fantastic! By far one of the best VRBO rentals that we have had. The home was welcoming, clean and comfortable. The view was even more spectacular than the pictures on line! We all had a wonderful and relaxing stay.!

The view was spectacular, the house was clean and so inviting. We enjoyed the kitchen and the living room was so cozy. I really liked the down stairs bedroom, it was perfect for our family. We really enjoyed staying here.

Had a weekend wedding right next door and having the house for a small group instead of using the hotel was absolutely perfect for us! 10 out of 10!

The view and location is great. It's a good 15 minute walk to short sands but if you take Kendall Street, most of the walk has great views of the ocean and not a lot of traffic. The property itself is not luxurious but extremely comfortable and it has everything you need. If I had to find a negative, we would have liked better options to dry our wet bathing suits and towels but I guess the ice cream shop a few steps away compensates for it!

I grew up in York and go back yearly to visit my mom and friends/family. This house was not only one of the cleaner homes but the best view by far!

Traveling with husband and our two college aged sons for our summer vacation. We switched to this location from another place that was closer to Acadia and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision. Parking was easy, the accommodations were perfect for our family and the views from the porch and living room were perfect. We made daily walks down to the lighthouse at night and it was a peaceful place to sit. Definitely would recommend!

Another relaxing stay at this cottage. Walking distance to the lighthouse/park and ice cream shop. Short drive to the beach(es). Fantastic view of the Nubble. Clean space with plenty of amenities. The hotel behind the property hosts outdoor wedding receptions on some weekend evenings. This mostly impacted our visit when it happened on a night too warm to close up all the windows. Music usually started around dinner time and they were always done by 9:30pm. Had a great vacation and look forward to coming back!

Perfect beach cottage for a stress free retreat to the ocean. Beautiful views, easily accessible and close by all of the fun activities York has to offer.

This house was absolutely gorgeous. The view was incredible and the pictures, although accurate, did not do it justice. We could not have stayed in a better place. Clean, cozy, comfortable, well stocked and beautifully decorated! Would highly recommended!!
