Springview Retreat - secluded, romantic getaway

Was so much better than we expected! I booked Springview Retreat as a mini honeymoon surprise for my new bride, and she absolutely loved it. Karen, the host, was amazing—she went out of her way to accommodate our late-evening(9:00pm) arrival, which made everything so easy for us.When we arrived, the place was spotless, comfortable, and felt instantly welcoming. Karen had thought of everything and made sure we had everything we needed. Waking up to those views was unbelievable—easily one of the highlights of our stay.We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back.

My partner and I stayed at Springview Retreat for two nights and couldn’t fault it. From the moment we arrived, Karen was incredibly welcoming, and helpful, which made our stay even more special.The cottage was spotless, beautifully presented, and felt so warm and homely. It had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. My wife and I had a wonderful and relaxing weekend getaway at this property. The host was so lovely, the cottage itself was cozy and comforting and the views were stunning.It’s easy to see why Karen is a great host, from little details in the decor of the place to overall friendliness and responsiveness, she has been very accommodating.I loved the earthy tones and wood-centric interior of the place, it has such a welcoming and warm vibe to it. The bathroom and lovely little duck pond out front stood out to me the most though (apart from the breathtaking mountain views of course).Definitely planning on visiting again, would 100% recommend!

Truly beautiful getaway in a pristine location. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. Big Thankyou to Karen for being a caring host and for making my girlfriend and my getaway so memorable. The bathroom overlooking the scenery and farm life was a definite highlight.

My partner and I were there for our wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful time. Beautiful views and far enough away from the main house made the stay feel very secluded.

Karen was very welcoming on arrival then left us to our getaway. What a breathtaking place to stay and the view is true to the photos. So lucky to have found such a unique place. Amazing location to escape the city for a few days. Perfect stay.

I was travelling solo and wanted a quiet scenic place to unwind and relax. Karen's property just clicked all. It was clean, tidy and aesthetically beautiful. Host was friendly and accomodating.Would reccomend everyone without hesitation.

A lovely stay in the “middle of nowhere”! It was really beautiful, the location, interiors and style of accommodation was gorgeous. The only very slight disappointment was the lack of wifi (which can be a benefit for some, but difficult if you needed to be in regular phone contact due to health reasons) and the lack of any other form of heating. The log fire is wonderful and heats up the whole place after a while, but besides 1 oil heater it was hard for the cabin to stay warm without being there to maintain the fire. (Very thankful for the generous amount of wood left by the owner!) A lovely stay overall and very relaxing and rejuvenating. Beautiful

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away. This place is nothing short of magical the perfect blend of rustic charm, thoughtful touches, and breathtaking scenery. The cottage was beautifully styled and immaculately clean, with a roaring fireplace, soft lighting, and everything you could possibly need for a cosy, comfortable stay.The host truly didn’t miss a thing. From the quality linen and well-stocked kitchen to the little surprises like marshmallows for roasting and delicious chocolates, it’s clear they’ve poured love and care into every detail. We spent our evenings relaxing by the fire, soaking in the stillness and beauty that surrounded us.The view from the cabin was absolutely unreal rolling hills, lavender, and dramatic cliffs stretching across the horizon. It's the kind of place that makes you slow down and feel deeply present.We left feeling recharged, grateful, and already dreaming of coming back. A huge thank you to the host for creating such a special space one that feels like a true retreat from the world.

My partner and I had a lovely two night stay in the cottage. We loved the view from the huge picture window whilst reading our books on the comfy couch by the fire.The bed is very comfortable also!We would definitely recommend this stay to others looking for some time out to relax.The little kitchen is very well appointed with an oven, gas cooktop and pots/pans etc.Fair warning, there is very little mobile reception (on Optus & Telstra we could sms and call but super intermittent data) and no wifi. So not a place to do any work that requires internet and next time we will pre-download our Spotify playlists before we arrive! It was nice to be forced to not doom scroll social media though, so as long as you are prepared the lack of internet access is kind of a plus as you get to really unplug.Thanks Karen and Jonathan for a lovely stay.

This is a truly amazing retreat, very comfortable bed, outstanding decor, a fireplace that works with ample wood, a host who genuinely cares, your views are spectacular and the cottage superb.

My partner and I stayed here the last few days for some R&R, and we certainly got plenty of that. Peaceful and quiet, with only the cows and birds, and the occasional kangaroo, to keep us company. My partner and I stayed at Karen’s gorgeous little cottage for a few days in the Kangaroo Valley after our wedding. It’s secluded, peaceful and has the most stunning views of the surrounding mountains and nature. It also has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Highly highly recommend!

We loved our two night stays at this beautifully designed holiday house. The open layout and massive windows added gave the feeling of space and luxurious comfort. While it was too warm to have the fireplace going, we imagine it would add even more atmosphere to an already very cosy place. We may have to come back in winter to try it out.

Wow wow wow!!! The love gone into this slice of heaven is absolutely amazing, my shoulders instantly dropped, the view omg the view is a dream, so peaceful, so clean, luxurious and relaxing. Breathtaking views of the beautiful valley! Karen was great to communicate with and the bath was definitely a selling point!! I recommend bringing some extra carrots for the cows as they’re super social and it’s amazing even seeing the calves this time of year. We loved our stay, highly recommend.

Cannot recommend this property highly enough. Equisite location, accomodation and surroundings. If all you want to do is see and hear the sounds of nature all around you then this place is just that. Springview Retreat takes switching off to a whole new level. Karen our host made our stay so special for my husbands birthday and getting to meet her cute dog Monty was an added treat! My partner and I found the Springview retreat to be absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway. Karen’s details and decorations made the place feel so homey and the view was like a painting. Karen told us about some of the activities and restaurants to visit in the area which was wonderful and extremely helpful! We went on the nearby Hampden Bridge Walk which was beautiful and the town was lovely to explore. The cabin itself was immaculately clean and Karen had so many fun little surprises and supplies ready for us when we arrived. The whole experience was amazing and the drive through the property up to the cabin was just breathtaking. We didn’t want to leave!! Karen was an incredibly friendly host and wished us goodbye on our last day which was lovely. She had great communication but there was nothing to fault about the cabin to communicate with her about!! 11/10 stars if I could!!!

Upon arrival there was a low mist through the valley and entering the cottage there was a cracking fire going (thanks Jonathan), The picture window looking down the valley was spectacular along with the detail and special touches that Karen provided was truly amazing and appreciated.
