Stayed May 16, 2024Janet left us delicious honey and eggs from Eamon’s and her farm, much appreciated, and a good supply of peat for the 2 fireplaces (which we didn’t need). The “cottage” is a 3 bedroom house, and was very clean and well supplied. Enjoyed some breakfasts on the sunny mornings outside. We enjoyed fishing and walking at Fermoyle Beach, and walks in to Loch Duin, Brandon Point and Glanteenassig Forest. Ireland is lush, and spectacularly beautiful. I hope to return.

Stayed Sep 23, 2023Direen cottage provides easy access to both the bustling town of Dingle and the quieter Brandon Bay side of the peninsula. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Janet responded quickly to any questions we had. We hope to visit again someday.

Stayed Jun 24, 2023Direen Cottage is enveloped in a naturalistic style garden which was an absolute joy for our children to explore. The house itself is very well maintained and obviously cared for, it is homely and welcoming and contains everything you could need for a comfortable holiday. We loved that the house is in an ideal location for touring the local landscape; Castlegregory, The Maharees, Dingle, Slea Head etc. Our hosts were friendly and communicative and the welcome gift of locally produced artisan brown bread and Heather honey was a heartwarming touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and very much hope to return.

Stayed Jun 3, 2023I had a great time in Direen Cottage. The cottage was very clean, spacious, and well equipped. Both Janet & Eamonn were lovely and very helpful, Also, the heather honey that Janet left for us was delicious. It was so nice to be able to bring our 2 dogs. The cottage is very close to some amazing beaches and beautiful countryside. I would highly recommend Direen Cottage. I have already booked another visit this year, can't wait to return.

Stayed Jun 14, 2023Wonderfully appointed historic cottage. Plenty of room for our 4 guests with room to spare. Quiet spot in the woods with a creek right next to us along with a rope swing for the kids, or adults if they so please. The book of local activities was greatly appreciated, as was the history of the cabin.
