Stayed Dec 31, 1969A nice cottage, modern interior, comfortable beds however, lacked personal touches and could have been cleaner. South Creake is a pretty village with a nice pub within minutes however, there isn’t much else. House doesn’t have direct access to garden as such but it’s very nice nonetheless with a creake at the end.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Lovely cottage well situated for visiting the coast and all the small towns and villages. Excellent food in the Ostrich in the village perhaps a little pricey but the Sunday roast was huge and beautifully cooked to perfection. Jolly farmer is also worth a visit but only open on some nights and food served between 6and 8pm. Some nice touches in the cottage and on the whole well equipped apart from No Microwave and no Teapot which i would have thought quite basic items! However we really enjoyed the area and our stay

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a lovely property briefly comprising a large dining kitchen,, central staircase and a living room. Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms and a large bathroom. Well decorated and modern fittings throughout. Excellent WiFi connection. Small garden that requires a 20yd walk along soft gravel (would be hard for a wheelchair/pushchair). This is also the location of the wheelie bins. Stream running at back of garden and a table and chairs at which to sit in hot weather (not October!) The street access is tight, cars need to be parked up against the building or alternatively at the end of the street on the village green area, but overall not too difficult to manage. Location is not too far from the coast, and Fakenham is the nearest town for supermarkets etc A good place to stay for a couple.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Whilst the cottage was clean & comfortable it was let down by; a) When we arrived three landing lights not working also the TV not working. b) paying nearly £1000 per week would expect the kitchen to be equipped with a microowave oven, surely an essential when on holiday. c) some frying pans and baking trays need replacing, also no instruction leaflets for kitchen appliances. d) no Visitors book e) Were never able to park outside making loading & unloading difficult in such a narrow road. On the poisitive side beds were very comfortable

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The cottage was smaller than the photos indicated. I think for 4 people and 2 dogs it would have been very snug. Having the garden down the walk way was not great when you have a dog. This needs to be indicated earlier on the description as it states enclosed garden but not separate from house. The cottage was very comfortable though for 2 people and 1 dog. Thank you.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We booked on the spur of the moment after having to postpone two weeks in the Dordogne for the second year. Sherbet Cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. It was chilly when we arrived but the heating was on and it was very cosy. Parking is somewhat tight but we always easily managed to find a space. It was galling to have to pay £200 more for one week here than for two weeks in a larger house with swimming pool in the Dordogne, but that’s the going rate.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We absolutely loved the decor of the cottage and the location, which was perfect for us. There was an odd smell and the cottage had been surfaced cleaned, there was a build up of dust behind the sofa with items left from previous guests, this was only noticed as the light was situated behind the sofa. The oven was dirty and the utensils had seen better days. There was a video player, but we couldn't use this as the cable had been removed and there was dirty washing left in a wash bin. I think had the property description not have read recently renovated my expectations would have been lower. I did not complain at the time of our stay and these comments did not spoil our stay, we loved Norfolk and all it had to offer. I would recommend this cottage, but I think the cleanliness needs to be improved and the description to be more reflective about the cottage condition.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had issues with cleanliness which the agency dealt well with. The cottage needs money spending on it and some serious attention from the owner. It is getting rundown, it was dirty under the surface. Many things need attention and replacing, the cooker is old, the bedding is well used, the kitchen surfaces are in poor repair. The window sills are filled with clutter which has to be moved to open the shutters to allow the windows to be opened. There is no microwave despite the cottage description claiming to supply one. In its current state this cottage is not worth the price charged. It could be lovely with some time and attention given to it.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A lovely comfortable cottage in a nice village . The cottage is well equipped to provide that home from home feeling and is decorated and furnished to a high standard . The village is quiet and well located for touring the area . The village pub / restaurant was opening just after we left but looked very nice . The only slight downside is that parking is tight in a narrow lane - we could always find parking but never directly outside the cottage . Overall we would highly recommend this cottage .
