This apartment is certainly in a stunning location with wonderful views and gardens and good parking. Apart from the kitchen which is relatively well equipped and clan, the rest of the place is in dire need of a deep clean; it’s soft furnishings are worn out (the pillows and towels are particularly clapped out) and there is a dangerous level of black mould in the tiny bathroom. The second bedroom is not big enough for two kids let alone adults and the flat’s large windows and high balcony mean it is not suitable for children. The bathroom needs major reconfiguration and refurbishment – there is zero shelf space, not enough towel drying space, no door hooks and a disgusting mould-infected shower screen. This is not a professional holiday let – it is somebody’s private holiday gaff that is being let to offset the owner’s costs – all of these issues (and more) have been reported in the visitor’s book over the last 2-3 years. There are other flats in this building on other letting sites that appear to be in much better order.

At least 10 complaint issues arising daily. Grubby, floor skirting boards, dirty & old food under furniture(no show of a deep clean in past few years). Old tired crockery/cutlery, had to eat off 4 plastic plates. Tumble dryer did not work, bathroom health hazard x broken panel in top corner under sink, grimy grey slime underneath of bathmat. Pealing cupboard door next to oven. Beautiful views from lounge area/bedrooms be CAREFUL, no window restraints to stop these beautiful windows opening to full capacity x 4ft = danger of falling out. No love in this apartment which is in a beautiful building/area.

This apartment is in a great location with amazing views out to sea. It is quiet and relaxing. The balcony is a comfortable size to sit out on, but you are exposed to your neighbours, just a few feet away. A screen is definitely needed here. It is up a hill but we did not find this a problem. The slope is not that bad. It has everything you need for a few days break. Take some dish washer tablets with you, as they are not provided. BUT, we found this apartment in need of a bit of TLC. Nothing major but just some maintenance and some updated wardrobes, furniture in general. The laminate flooring creeks badly and drove us mad. The neighbours must be able to hear it too. Not good especially at night. The cleanliness of this apartment concerned us most. I am not sure if the cleaner had been in before us or not. The toilet was dirty. The shower head and bath had hair in it. The basin still had soap around the bases of the taps. I had to deep clean the bathroom myself. Two out of four white towels provided were stained. I also had the deep clean the kichen sink. It did smell a bit but after cleaning with a little bleach, it looked like new. I hope that the owners take time to just update this apartment. It really could be so much nicer.

Beautiful peaceful location on 2nd floor of old mansion. Views out to sea are breathtaking. Happy to reccomend this property. Weather was very good when we were there in Sept. You can walk into Shanklin within few minutes and in the other direction you can pick up the coast path walk to Ventnor from road outside property. . .

Stunning views from the apartment. Quiet location. Good space for a couple. good wifi. Storage space in second bedroom very limited. Good appliances but lacked enough cutlery particularly if booked for four people. Customers need to be made aware that toilet and kitchen rolls and washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets are not provided which we found surprising.

Our recent stay at Sea View was amazing, the appartment was cosy, but everything paled into insignificance compared to the views of the stunning coastline of the Isle of Wight. I can even overlook the rated dated procedure of the keys being posted to me ans having to drop them back after we had checked out!

A lovely apartment. Fantastic views lovely gardens and good location and plenty of car parking space. The only issue we had was wardrobe space The wardrobe in the 2nd bedroom was a child's wardrobe and wasn't tall enough for adult clothing and the wardrobe in the main bedroom was full of stuff leaving very little space. Some of the furniture was old and tired and could do with replacing

A real haven and worth climbing the hill for. Perfect for solo travellers. Clean and comfortable. Make sure you bring a few dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid and bin liners as there were none provided at the property.

This is our 3rd stay at Seaview. We keep coming back because of the fantastic view. However this flat needs lots of TLC. Bathroom was a bit grim with black mould around bath. Window was cleaner this year so we were pleased about that. However when open the windows, windowsills (where window was and outside windowsill) were so dirty ..full of cobwebs and dead bugs !! Couldn’t open the window in small bedroom because dead bugs & dirt were coming onto bed. We think no-one clean them. Please clean windowsills inside & out, and get rid of black mould around bath. Thank you for painting outdoor furniture, however the parasol was broken and unable to use it ..such a shame. Still, We had a lovely time there overlooking beautiful views and seeing red squirrels running around the garden was so special. Look forward to coming back again.

We booked a last minute holiday and were very happy to have found SeaView. The staff were very helpful in sorting out the keys etc out of hours. The location and the grounds are beautiful. The apartment itself is comfortable and has all the essentials. It could be slightly cleaner, but otherwise all good.
