We really enjoyed staying at Screened Inn. The online description is very accurate, but it doesn't say just how cool the accessories and decorations are in the place. The whole experience felt very authentic to the time frame of the property. We loved the front porch and spent a good bit of time there. The beach access isn't typical but walking through the secret passway felt like a grand adventure. Dealing with Mermaid Cottages was the easiest communication with property managers I've ever experienced. They were available on the spot, courteous, helpful and so polite. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay again.

I have two small dogs and they had a blast in the fenced in yard and the screened porch for some sun bathing. The rental company was beyond exceptional. They checked in on us and communicated with being bothersome. The location is so close to the beach, the lighthouse, great places to eat. We walked to several places and we rented bikes because everything is so close. We have an electric car and there is a fast charger just around the corner. We drove to Savannah several days, it’s only 20 minutes away and there is so much to do and see. I can’t say enough about how impressed I was with the hosts. Also, when we left , Tammy reached out to let me know we had left something behind so we could arrange to get it back. Just wonderful ladies. I will definitely be recommending this spot to others and I will also be back in the future. Thank you mermaids for making my stay so easy and really going out of your way for us. I truly appreciate it. Your wonderful.

The folks with Mermaid Cottages are great. They are very responsive if you need them and the house is always clean and ready when we arrive.

Not only did this place feel like a home away from home but mermaid rentals went above and beyond in their communications- they are incredibly friendly, warm and inviting which is so welcoming after a big day of travelling. The rental was spectacular, cozy, bright and FULL of character, the decorating really made it feel like a relaxed vacation and the walk to the beach was very short. I could truly go on and on about our incredible experience here, but I’ll leave it at saying it’s the type of place and experience you’ll tell people about, you’ll have wonderful memories and you’ll be just waiting to book the next time around. Screened Inn is located on the North end of the island, very close to the beach and the lighthouse. It's a very quiet location, and convenient to everywhere on Tybee Island.
