Stayed Oct 18, 2025The location was idyllic and such a cozy private neighborhood. Comfortable accommodations and nice bonus details like the record player made it a fun stay. Would like to come back again for a long stay and take more advantage of the lakeside amenities.

Stayed Oct 17, 2025Wish we could have stayed longer at this sweet cabin by the lake! It was so cozy on a cool October night. We were 3 generations of women - grandmother, mother and daughter and we each found things we loved here. The sunrises, they comfy beds and the charming details like the quirky stairs and the antiques.

Stayed Sep 19, 2025Booking was easy, Sean commented openly and was very attentive. We loved the antique decor! Access to the lake is a section of grass between two houses across the street. The only issue we had was that the water smells terrible of sulfur. But overall the stay was great.

Stayed Sep 12, 2025The listing is tremendously misleading. While photos and description suggest there is reasonable access to the lake, the property is in a private lake community. The house rules make clear, docks are not accessible to tenants and no fishing is permitted. As a result, one feels very unwelcome in the community and has really no meaningful access to the lake. There are dangerous aspects in the house, for example, a step off from the first floor stair landing into the kitchen of about 18 inches, and very narrow steps to the second floor. Communication with the prospective tenant was inadequate.

Stayed Sep 3, 2025Sean was great! Made sure we knew everything we needed to know before and during our stay and that we had everything we needed. The house is a typical cozy lake cottage, simple but suited us fine.

Stayed Aug 30, 2025Beautiful location. Very quiet and peaceful. Great to have kayaks and access to the lake though access and the steep stairs are not for people with movement limitations. But we are in our 60s and had no problem. Host was extremely gracious and helpful. We would go back without hesitation.

Stayed Jul 10, 2025Charming but rustic amazingly well stocked homey cabin. Excellent location. But if you are looking for super modern elegance, this is not the place for you. If you appreciate unique accommodations, you will love it.

Stayed Jul 3, 2025Dock space is shared with neighbor and was not put together from recent storm and could not sit on it even if it was because it was shared space and was told we couldn’t “linger” on it which the dock is what really sold the place for us but it didn’t exist. We had AC but we couldn’t open windows they were so old. Picture of dock wasn’t the dock for the property it was another dock so it says outdoor dining but it was someone else’s dock. Kayaks were dirty with cobwebs which is fine but if guests were staying it would be nice to have them rinsed off and clean before they came. Check in was good . Sulfur water was not ideal and not mentioned in post. Owner was nice and got us a fire pit and wood. Cottage had everything needed in kitchen towels and bedding were adequate but all the toiletries were outdated toothpaste had expiration date 2019 which is fine we were not gonna use it we had our own. We didnt like it much and we ended up checking out Sunday morning instead of Monday. We felt the cottage was dirty and I know the grill is outside but was dirty also.

Stayed Jun 29, 2025The listing was diseving. Lake access was through a very rocky area, no dock. The house could have been cleaned better. The water has a very sulfery odor, so offensive I didn't want to shower. Wouldn't go back.

Stayed Jun 26, 2025Had a great stay, wish the lake was right on the back yard, it's across the road but still very close. Thoughtful host, the cheese and crackers was a nice surprise and a great late night snack. Sunrise over the lake was excellent and the view of the lake from the living room is very peaceful. Great vibes at this place

Stayed Oct 11, 2024Perfect little lake house for a family of four to spend a few days. We came up to see the battle of Saratoga site, which is decently nearby. We came in October so we didn’t get to enjoy the lake beyond viewing it and seeing a lovely sunrise. The house was mostly clean, small (but expected based on the listing photos) and had all the amenities for our family to stay.

Stayed Aug 31, 2024A classic cottage experience sure to conjure the best of childhood memories connected to river, lake and beach cottages from long ago. Rustic, functional and comfortable. The area is quiet and close to all the top attractions in the area. Would stay again.

Stayed Aug 30, 2024Lovely setting, however the cottage has no outdoor lighting ( we arrived after a concert). The stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are poorly constructed, extremely steep, and treacherous. The rooms upstairs are suffocating with no air movement. There is an air conditioner upstairs full of dirt and mold. The one downstairs is also very dirty. There is a weird but strong smell in the house. The sulfur smell from the hot water is overpowering. There is a comfortable Morris chair in the living room, but the upholstery is dirty and greasy. And just when you try to go to sleep, a cuckoo clock alerts you to the hour, every hour, with no way to shut it off
