Sapphire Cottage - Waterfront w/ Covered Dock & Slide, Gentle Slope to Water

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy lake cottage. The setting was peaceful, the renovations tasteful, and the patio fernishings, firepit, and kayaks made for great family outdoor time. The kitchen was better stocked than expected, and the labeled light switches were a thoughtful touch. The dedicated ice maker is nice bonus if you spend a day on the lake. The host responded quickly to the few small issues we had. Just be prepared for stairs — it’s three levels — and bring your own extra paper goods and trash bags, which surprised us as first-time VRBO guests.

Great experience! Tracy was quick to respond and easy to communicate with. No issues, just great times had with friends.

This is the second year in a row we've stayed there with our family. There's 11 of us in total. We come to Norris every year for our family vacation. The closeness to the water is so nice, very minimal steps. House is clean and well furnished. Love sitting on the deck but even nicer to sit on the lower patio with cool breeze from ceiling fans. The ice machine is wonderful. Saved us so much money in ice for coolers. The dock is practically new, added kayaks. The kids loved kayaking. The steps into the water, the water slide, slips, picnic table made it a great place for the family to hang out. We loved our stay at The Blue House as the grandkids call it. We hated to leave. We hope to be back next year.

This was the perfect cottage for my family and the location was awesome. Easy walk down to the dock. Very peaceful place. The cottage was well stocked with everything we needed also. Would definitely stay here again!!

Sapphire Cottage was clean and accommodating for all of our family members. We enjoyed the convenience and very close proximity to lake access. Only a few short minutes by boat to Twin Cove Marina or a few more by car. We all enjoyed our week long stay!

Some friends and myself rented this place to sleep while we set up and attended my daughter’s wedding. The area is very unique! The house was very clean.

This property was everything we needed! Nice walk to the lake with minimum steps, easy for the kids and our older parents. Had all the accommodations we needed to enjoy our summer vacation! Will definitely rent again!

Perfect location & close to hwy/grocery. We loved the access to the dock! It was a short walk from the house w/very few steps. Checked all our boxes and we cannot wait to return next year. Owners were easily available & upheld great communication.

The house was comfortable and gave everyone the space they needed. The boat ramp was close and easy to get to and the deck with the slide was loved by all. See you next year!

This home is great for a lake vacation. It’s located at the end of a narrow drive but does have a boat dock for your own boat. Easy to launch at a nearby marina. Swimming right off the dock for the kids was a highlight. The water is deep, a slide is also on the dock. We did bring lounge chairs. There is a picnic table on the dock. Multiple level home with steps to upstairs and downstairs. Air cooling system worked great. Rent a boat nearby if you don’t have one to bring. We had kids ages 3-13 and they all loved jumping into the water. Very clean home. Well stocked kitchen. Could use more paper products (TP, Kleenex, garbage bags,). We did have to buy that for our group of 11. Beds ok but could use nicer pillows. Maybe a few more blankets. I would definitely stay here again though. We had prompt answers from owner when we sent messages. We did find it nice to have a commercial ice machine in the basement to fill coolers. Had an issue with the grill but they sent someone promptly to take care of it the very next morning.

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was perfect for us. The dock is perfect and the area was quiet. The cottage was comfortable and had all of the necessary amenities. The ice maker was an added bonus! Listen to the directions and do not try and take a boat to the house. It's easiest to launch it at the public boat launch which is close to the house by car and water (maybe about 12 min by car and about the same or a tad less by boat).

Everything was as advertised, host was responsive, and we had a great time. It was really nice not having to walk down a ton of stairs to get to the dock like other houses. Would stay again.

House was very well maintained and had everything we needed. Communication was great!
