The village has an excellent butcher and bakery, a Post Office, grocer, newsagent and two pubs. Also nearby in the village of Allanton is a good restaurant which is great for fishing and shooting parties as well as the Cross Inn at Paxton. Berwick-upon-Tweed is just 7 miles away, at the northern tip of Northumberland’s beautiful Heritage Coast, boasting many restaurants, cafes, pubs and a nearby links golf course. The property was fantastic. Spotlessly clean and very welcoming with lots of nice little touches. The property is very dog friendly. I would highly recommend this property to anyone with a dog/s who want to holiday with family as there are lots of lovely walks near by.
