El Corral de Villacampa is a rural home nestled between the Sierra de Guara and the Aragonese Pyrenees. The construction and design of this rural accommodation are based on the original wood and stone from the Comarca de Sobrarbe itself, in the province of Huesca (Aragón).
Our country house, classified as a tourist apartment, is located near Aínsa, in Mondot, a small village with just a few houses, set in an ideal spot to leave stress behind and disconnect from the rhythm ofdaily life. Moreover, this location allows you to enjoy a wealth of natural and cultural attractions within a 70-kilometer radius.
The Aragonese Pyrenees, featuring the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park; Aínsa and its beautiful historic center; Barbastro and the famous Somontano wines; or the Sierra de Guara and the charming medieval village of Alquézar—these are just a few of the places you shouldn’t miss when visiting our charming country home in Huesca.
Or if you’re looking for peace and quiet, enjoy our winter fireplace and our large patio with a stone fireplace in the summer.
It is spread over two floors and features a paved patio outside that is accessible from the house itself for guests’ exclusive use.

Activities:
El Corral de Villacampa is situated in a location where you can enjoy peace and quiet surrounded by nature. The location is ideal for hiking or swimming in a natural gorge when time permits. But there’s also the opportunity to enjoy all kinds of adventure and water activities, traveling by car to other nearby locations.

- Water sports: In Aínsa, just 25 kilometers away, you can go rafting, canoeing, hydrospeeding, or try other water sports. The Ésera River makes it possible to enjoy all these sports.

- A Look at the Rupestrian Art Paintings: In Colungo, 30 kilometers from our house, you’ll find the Rock Art Interpretation Center. It’s an excellent starting point for exploring some of the many rock shelters with Neolithic paintings located near Mondot.

- Visit to the wineries of the Somontano Designation of Origin: The Somontano region is best known for the quality of its wines. If you’d like, you’ll have the opportunity to tour the wineries and taste their excellent wines. We’ll arrange the visit for you if you’d like.

- Spend a day skiing: head to one of the nearby ski slopes to enjoy a day in the snow. Candanchú, Piau-Engaly, and Formigal are less than 100 km away, making it possible to spend a day in the snow.

- Visit France: Just 70 kilometers from Mondot is the Bielsa Tunnel, the border crossing with the neighboring country. The other side of the Pyrenees offers landscapes of great beauty.

- Canyoning: If you’d like to go canyoning. The canyons of the Sierra de Guara and the Vero River are the best places.

- Climbing: In Alquézar, climbing enthusiasts have the opportunity to conquer unparalleled peaks. Rodellar, in the Sierra de Guara, and the Mallos de Riglos, near Huesca, also offer ideal settings for this activity.

- Therapeutic baths: If you’re looking for relaxation, the soothing power of the thousand-year-old salt flats in the town of Naval, 40 km from Mondot, is the perfect destination.

Nice welcome by the father of the owner who only spoke Spanish, but that wasn't a problem. Clean house, exactly like the pictures on the internet. Far (25 minutes) away from civilisation, fantastic private natural pool with waterfall at a 10 minutes drive. Only remark is regard to the small (1.40 m) beds and no ventilators in the house which made it (espacially at night) very warm.

Dear alberto and vicente, We had a wonderfull stay at your place in mondot. It's a nice and quiet place to be and enjoy the peace fullness after a year at work. About the house: all you need for a stay is available, the house is very clean. WiFi was functioning very good. Just a remark on the bed: for two persoons iT is a little bit to small. I would not recommend your house for young people who love to do lots of activities and maybe go out in the evening. Mondot is too far away from all that. Elderly people and nature lovers on the contrary will love to be there. But most of all we enjoyed the great welcome we received! You and your father are great people. We are still eating the tomatoes we received from you. Hope to see you again. Kind regards Maria

choose this rural retreat as a break away from it all! despite the 25 minute journey to the nearest supermarket - plan shopping trips around days out - we had a fantastic stay! this cottage is very comfortable and as the sun went down we could enjoy the patio and watch the bats come and go. we even had a nesting bird who we called Mildred and her two babies Ant and Dec. it was very hot when we stayed and unfortunately the area was plagued a little flies which seemed to be obsessed with our English skin. lovely bathroom, powerful shower, decent towels. only negative is the washing machine uses a hot water feed! not sure how constant use would effect clothes and I think the dishwasher mentioned in the details is the sink! lovely little kitchen with enough equipment to make simple food! this is a holiday and you don't want to cook! lovely hospitality and welcome from the owner and his son.
