With the goal of creating the perfect get-away for two, we have created a custom cottage in the gated Hartstene Pointe Community on Hartstene Island. To help you experience the extraordinary natural setting we provide two kayaks, bikes and paddle boards.

Enveloped in towering trees, this romantic getaway is built for a peaceful retreat, or adventure - as you can hike, bike or kayak (included) & walk along the beautiful sandy beaches and miles of wooded trails. Just three-minute walk to the beach. Recharge as you breath in the majestic greenery of this quiet secluded hideaway. Other amenities include outdoor heated pool and tennis courts at the Clubhouse.

The house has 23-foot ceilings with floor to ceiling glass providing a dramatic connection to the old growth douglas fir and cedar trees that surround you. The architectural open stairs, the fireplace mantel & hearth and dining room table are all custom made from the trees harvested from the site.

Designed as a romantic getaway, the house also has a comfortable queen sofa / bed in the living room in front of the fireplace. There is a bathroom off the kitchen on the main floor and a master bath off the cozy loft bedroom. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need to complete your delicious creations.

There is no TV by design - it is a place to embrace nature and reconnect. As recent renters said in their review, At first we were disappointed that there was no TV...... however, it was a great way to reconnect, a way to bring us back to what brought us together (25 years!) in the first place.

We had a great time on Harstene Island, so relaxing and pretty. The house was perfect, nicely decorated, fully equiped and very comfortable. We really slept great there all 4 nights.Be prepared with everything you need because its almost like camping, but in a comfortable house with AC. There are literally no stores, food or anything to buy on the island.Kayaking was killer. Floated by a few seals.Lots of cool spots to explore or just chill on the deck by the house.5 star getaway.

The cabin is a great retreat in the trees. Arranging to access the gated residential community it is in was smooth and handled by the owner all using vrbo messaging -- which I really appreciated. I enjoyed a pretty peaceful, fairly quiet stay. One reason I can't give 5 stars this visit was that the place hadn't been cleaned, including having to run some wash to get a set of sheets for the bed. Not a major problem but dissapointing. It was a little more unusual that housekeeping showed up an hour after check-in thinking I was the owner. Overall, this was not an issue that would keep me from wanting to come back to this lovely cabin. A great retreat location otherwise.

Clean, cozy, and such a serene setting both inside and out. Loved all the woodwork, design, special touches...those stairs! And what a great kitchen too. I didn't really want to leave. :-)

Aside from how beautiful the place was - both the cabin and the area - it was easy to find everything in the house and it was really tidy. For solo travelers, seeing all the notes and extra stuff available was really comforting.

The pool was closed (in January), not a big deal for us. Otherwise everything was excellent.

We've stayed in a handful of VRBOs and hotels the last couple of yrs. This place was clean, quiet, and the host was kind when we had trouble finding the key, which was 100% our fault. It's not often that we stay in a place that includes a basket of things you might've forgotten so that was awesome to see! We'd definitely recommend to others.

This house is so cute and oh-so cozy! It was quiet and peaceful, and the shower is exquisite. We love going down to the beach to look at the beauty of Puget Sound and watching for seals and other critters. My only note is for some dusting and cobwebs, but I know with a vaulted ceiling the cobwebs can show up over night so it wasn't a big deal. Overall Beautiful property and we will definitely be coming back next year!

This was a great place with so many quality, artistic touches in furnishings & decor. All the information for check in was provided well in advance. The kitchen was well stocked with dish ware and cooking pans/utensils. There were also some basic spices and other staples. Also, some recreational equipment was made available. Easy walk to tge bach and walking trails. When contacted with questions , the host was very accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend! We would enjoy staying here again!

This place was amazing!! The inside was so clean, modern, and cozy. The brown cognac recliner was the best place I’ve ever sat, and we loved every aspect of the cabin. The kitchen had all the utensils and dishes we needed, and the bathrooms were so nice, clean, and stocked. The scenery was amazing too! We went for a walk around the island and enjoyed the views. I highly recommend this place to anyone! We will be back next year for sure.

A short stay, we split our days into driving days and stay home days. A great mix of hiking, driving, dining in and dining out. Would love to experience in warmer days to get out on the water!

This place gave us just what we needed, some much needed time away in a beautiful home and a gorgeous wooded and quiet neighborhood by the water. The walk to the beach was the perfect distance, complete with a deer sighting. The house itself was so stylishly decorated and comfortable. Communication with the owners was seamless. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a wonderful stay! Very quiet and peaceful. We did have internet and wifi, which was nice! Only thing to keep in mind, is neighbors are close by! So while it is secluded in a way, it is also not. In other words, be careful what you wear around in the cabin at night with the lights on haha
