Stayed Apr 3, 2026A deceptively spacious cottage. The cottage had everything you could need. The host provided plenty of fuel for the log burner and extra touches like coffee pods, everything for washing up by hand or dishwasher so you don't need to take anything, tea, coffee and sugar, towels, and even a bottle of wine. Gill is so friendly and very helpful, even apologising for the weather! However, the best parts were the amazing views and all the animals. There were 3 horses, 5 pygmy goats and endless birds to watch. You can even hand feed the goats, goat food is also provided. All in all, a lovely relaxing weekend in beautiful surroundings.

The log burner was an added plus for us as we love our fires. The views are unforgettable and after my visit i was totally relaxed. What a gem they have in this property !!!!

Stayed Jan 22, 2026We enjoyed a super week at the cottage, with superb views across the hills, even impressive in January rain! Gill was a fantastic host - friendly, welcoming and happy to offer advice about visiting the local area and eateries. The cottage had everything we needed and the woodburner was cosy for the evenings. We would definitely use this accommodation again if we come to visit this area of the country.

Stayed Aug 11, 2025It was our first time at Piglets House and what a location! The views are amazing, you can see Stoodley Pike from the balcony and much more! Watching the sunset was peaceful and relaxing too. We loved hearing the horses being taken back and forth to the field, clip clopping by, and watching the goats, that are right next to the accommodation, which are comical to watch as they just like to chew and stare at you :D meeting them and feeding them bananas was a little highlight for me. Piglets House was clean and it had everything we needed for our short 4 day stay, wish it could have been longer. The hosts were friendly and approachable but we had privacy too. We used it as a base for a steam train ride and afternoon tea (on the train) at Embsay. We visited Haworth and walked to the Bronte Waterfall, from Penistone Country Park and back, it took us around 3 hours at our pace, round trip. Unfortunately due to lack of rain the waterfall was dry, but the stream under Bronte Bridge was flowing, so we dipped our toes in before the hot walk back in the 29 degree heat! We spent a few hours in Hebden Bridge, looking around the shops and market. It's a lovely place with some quirks. There is so much to discover, it was our first time to that part of Yorkshire, so we will need some more trips in the future. All in all we had a lovely time and would thoroughly recommend Piglets House, it gave us the privacy and break we both needed. We hope to come back one day. Thank you for having us.

The cottage was in a lovely location with a beautiful walk down into Hebden Bridge. The cottage itself had everything you’d need with beautiful views and also had a few fields which was great for letting our dogs run in which they absolutely loved! We’ll definitely return in the future and have no hesitation to recommend to friends and family!!

Stayed Nov 8, 2024We had a fab couple of days in Piglet's House & can't fault it. Gill very kindly allowed us to park our car before check in so we could make the most of our first day. She was extremely friendly & helpful without being intrusive. The cottage is in a great location, lovely view from the patio window, about half an hour uphill walk from Hebden Bridge - we did get a taxi back in the evening due to the dark lanes. The cottage was very clean, modern & well equipped with everything we needed. We'll definitely be back.
