The location was very nice. A tip for the owner is really make sure that everything is clean. We washed our dishes and glasses our first day because everything felt greasy. There is no ventilation by cooking. The beds weren't comfortable. Nevertheless we enjoyed Avize.

Excellent communication from owners for check-in. Spacious property. Loved sunshine on bedroom patio area in evening & inner courtyard at breakfast. Needs large wine glasses, champagne glasses & some mugs. All cleaning products & tea/coffee provided. Bath takes ages to partially fill & drain away. Upstairs is a very different style to downstairs. Convenient location to walk to village bakery & various champagne houses.

We stayed here for two nights to break our journey from the Haut-Alpes to our home in England. It's a nice property in a very quiet town. The bedroom in particular is well furnished and looks out over a vineyard. We felt the kitchen and courtyard area looked a bit tired and could do with some freshening up. There are lots of things to do, including a football table, which we enjoyed. The Champagne region is interesting and we spent a day walking in the local area and driving to a couple of locations. A couple of days is probably long enough, but we did enjoy our visit.

Very historic property. Great location if you have transportation. Air conditioning is by open window. Works great with cool nights. Bring a hair dryer.

The cleanliness of the property was great. The views outstanding- vineyards as far as the eye can see. How wonderful to wake with vineyards just the other side of the patio whilst sharing a glass of champagne or breakfast on the terrace. Sylvie and Eric were very welcoming and helped with local information. There was everything that you would need available in the property. Avize is a very quiet village so you will need transport. Take time to wander through the village. We came across a local champagne producer who welcomed us for a visit to their cellars and production followed by a tasting session. Delicious champagne and a purchase made.

Very comfortable and homely. Quiet, easy access and parking is a breeze. Great boulangerie and charcuterie. Friendly helpful people in town....hosts too! Great base for exploring Champagne region. Starting the day with breakfast outside on the patio and finishing off, after visiting champagne district with a glass of bubbles enjoying the sunset over the vineyard. Would thoroughly recommend staying here. Hope to return again. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful special French gite. Located in the outskirts of Avize we felt all alone surrounded by vineyards, a peaceful escape. The gite is so airy and surpisingly spacious - we loved the upstairs terrace patio - backing up to the vineyard - what an incredible view! The gite is well equipped and cared for and so comfy. The owners, Eric et Sylvie are warm and kind, we have stayed at their other gites throughout the years, they are always there if needed but not intrusive. Also they are truly knowledgeable about the area and champagne too! When visiting the Champagne region we have always chosen to stay at one of Eric et Sylvie accommodations because of their gracious hospitality! This was our first stay at this lovelt Avize gite and this has become our favorite - so uniquely different!
