Romantic 350 Year Old Casa Sophia

My wife and I totally enjoyed our stay at Casa Sophia. It's a setting where time slows remarkably and you feel a guilt-free pleasure in having an equally slow pace to your days.I first discovered Casa Sophia back in 2017 while searching the internet for places to stay in Europe. We elected to go to Italy that time but I kept an eye on Casa Sophia. As the years went by I continued to check the VRBO site for the listing, hoping to take advantage of it sometime. There was one year I couldn't find the listing and panic set in. Had the property been sold? Had the owners retired? The next year I found the listing again and I relaxed.We made our decision to go to Greece in November of 2024 and shortly after I made our booking for Casa Sophia for September of 2025. Our hosts, Sophia and Mogens, were very good about keeping in contact with us prior to our visit, answering questions that only hosts could answer. Some people might be concerned that the hosts at Casa Sophia live downstairs from the rental property itself. Not to worry; church mice would be louder than the hosts. Seriously. And when you do want to interact with them, they are right there to answer your questions and assist you in any way that they can.If there are times when you want to add a little action to your day, the coastal towns of Stoupa and Agios Nikolaos are less than a ten minute drive away.

Beautiful house in a very little village on a mountain, 10 minutes from the see and beaches. The house has everything you need. Beautiful terrasse with flowers and a good view on the see and valley. Very private and peaceful Lovely welcome from Sophia, she is very kind and helpfull. Every grocery and horeca you need very nearby. The surrounding is stunning. We had a very good Holliday. Very nice holidays

We had a lovely time, so many gorgeous beaches to visit, wild countryside, and wonderful ruins. Our hosts were welcoming and great communicators, all in all a very special holiday.

The property owner cannot be faulted with her kindness and consideration. We felt that the cleanliness could be improved, and we felt that there was an excess of clutter contained in the residence.

A very nice apartment with a great terrace to spend a quiet holiday. The friendly landlords are always available.

We spent ten days in mid-May 2023 in the well-equipped house of Sophia and Mogens who received us very friendly and provided us with good tips, interesting information and small attentions. We don’t miss anything. The house is very individually furnished with a lot of love. Highly recommended.

Everything we expected and more. Sophia and Morgens are wonderful hosts. Wonderful hints for places to eat and things to see and how to avoid any driving problems. We were there for two weeks and wished we could stay longer.

From communications before arrival to a goodbye at the gate the hosts were wonderful, attentive and very helpful. My wife had been walking through Italy for three weeks while I was leading a scooter tour around Greece. The plan was for me to join her in Italy but the Peloponnese was cooler and had much less tourist so she joined me. We were looking for a nice quite comfortable place to spend some time and Casa Sophia exceeded our expectations. Though we spent most of our time on the terrace reading or walking locally, we made a daily venture up the mountains to one of the small villages for lunch. Or, we drove the quick 5 minutes down the mountain to one of the local beach towns. This was a fantastic break for us and Casa Sophia and it's location is what made it so. PS: even the knifes where sharp.

Such a beautiful place so relaxing . The view is amazing. Casa Sophia has everything you need and more. Sophia was very helpful with places to visit and to eat. We'll be back x
