Back from a weeks stay, perfect weather. House well equipped, lovely kitchen with all you would need. Huge bedroom downstairs which was nice and cool. Just across road from the beach, good base to explore coastline. Plenty of places to eat/ drink in village although staff shortages were a bit challenging for pubs. Small convenience shop ,cafe and not to far to travel for larger supermarkets .thank you

A delightful property with a stunning view from the lounge area. Two very comfortable double bedrooms both with en suites. Loved the showers which are set automatically at a good temperature just press them on and you are away. Lovely village and within 5 minutes walk you can visit any one of our 3 favourite restaurants.

The property is in a lovely location, it is well equipped, it has a parking space - which really is a bonus. Alnmouth is such a beautiful place and we look forward to returning and staying at Riverside Lodge in the future.

We spent a wonderful week over the Easter holidays at Riverside cottage. Making the reservation, paying for it and having access to the property were all very simple and straight forward. The property is full of natural light and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were clean and neat. The location is perfect for exploring the region, with easy access to the A1 - we even had a trip to Edingburgh zoo - and the beach and estuary are just stunning! What a beautiful place! In Alnwick, which is 10 minutes away by car, you can find big supermarkets, a nice leisure centre with swimming pools and soft play area and whatever else you need. In the village, there are a few choices of places to eat and the convenience store stocks the basics, which can be handy. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend it!

We spent a week over Easter staying at Riverside Lodge with our two children aged 7 and 10. We had never visited Northumberland before and stumbled across Alnmouth online. We are so glad we found it! Riverside Lodge was immaculate throughout, the owner was very pleasant to deal with and we couldn't have imagined a more beautiful setting. The property has views over the estuary which are even more stunning than the photos on the advert show and the beach is literally 30 seconds walk from the front door. Alnmouth is very picturesque with a good convenience store and restaurants/cafes and also a great base from which to explore Northumberland - Alnwick, Bamburgh, Cragside, Holy Island etc were all in easy reach. An unexpected bonus was that Alnmouth has a railway station with fast trains to Edinburgh so we did a day trip there. We would highly recommend Riverside Lodge to anyone considering a holiday in Northumberland and we definitely hope to return in the near future.

We loved our holiday at the Riverside Lodge. The lodge was clean, well furnished and spacious. The lounge is upstairs and there is a large window to watch the changing views across the estuary. The open plan of the lounge, kitchen and dining area made for a very easy and relaxed living space. We used the downstairs bedroom which was made up into a king size bed and had an additional seating area which gave me a quiet place to read whilst upstairs the tennis was on! There is now Wi Fi in the property which was a good strength and meant we could research local facilities on line which lead us to a fantastic local Bistro which we may have over looked. We hired bikes from Alnmouth station using the Bike and Go scheme (you have to register in advance but having done this we presented our card and had 2 bikes for the day for £3.80) We did have a car but didn't use it much. There is a regular bus service to Alnwick and other places along the coast and you can order taxis so with a bit of organisation you could stay there without a car We would love to stay again in the future.

Just back from a short break at Riverside Lodge, Alnmouth. What a delightful property. Bright, airy accommodation in a wonderful location only a few yards to the beach. Everything was immaculate with modern facilities. It is situated in a very quiet area but just a short walk to all the amenities that Alnmouth has to offer. We only ate out one evening at the Sun Inn which was lovely with a very welcoming atmosphere. There is a regular bus service in the village, going to Alnwick to the south or further up the coast to Seahouses and Bamburgh and even up to Berwick. I can thoroughly recommend this property for a very pleasant stay in Alnmouth to take advantage of this beautiful coastal region of Northumberland.
