Just north of Mount Desert Island on the Maine Coast, this charming cottage is the perfect New England escape. Beautifully renovated and tastefully restored, details like a large double-sided stone fireplace, cathedral ceilings, and heaps of natural light make for an inviting retreat. Explore nearby bike trails, or rent a kayak and spend a fun day on the water -- just steps from your deck. You’ll also enjoy searching for hidden treasures in the wetlands at low tide. For more adventures, pack a picnic and spend the day at Lamoine Beach Park, less than a mile from your home. To experience the historic charm of New England, take a day trip to downtown Bar Harbor. Bike the old carriage roads and bask in the lovely locales.
Enter your vacation home after exciting outings and you'll be greeted by a gorgeous two-sided gas fireplace with floor-to-ceiling stone surround partitions in the main living area and den on the first floor. Spend time together lounging on the comfortable furniture in the living area or the den watching your favorite shows on the 42” Roku TV. Sleek gray countertops contrast stylishly with the all-white cabinets and a tiled backsplash in the chef’s kitchen, while high-end appliances include a five-burner gas range and a double oven. Prepping meals has never been more scenic with picturesque views of Eastern Bay. When it’s time to eat, gather around the dining table with seating for your guests, or eat on the deck amidst amazing waterfront views.
Speaking of the great outdoors, play games in the backyard or enjoy the warm ambience of the fire pit. When evening falls, fire up the grill and dine alfresco at the two tables on the expansive deck. Watch the sunset over the bay on the Adirondack chairs.
Beach chairs, two beach cruiser bikes, and a convenient Pack n’ Play are available for guest use. Helpful extras include complimentary Wi-Fi and a washer/dryer.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house we stayed at was beautiful inside and out. Perfectly located close to the water if you are interest in water sports, scenic views, and reclusive locations. We spent a lot of time in Acadia National Park and it was a bit far for that purpose. The house was clean and well stock with supplies for a 5 day stay. We went to the store first and wished we would have done it the other way around.
Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a rocky start. Arrived for five night stay at 6:00 pm to a very chilly 50 degree house. Totally unacceptable , After we thawed out and looked around, the house is very beautiful and the most well equipped kitchen I’ve ever rented. I called from California to inquire with TurnKey if the property had wine glasses. The man told me no, bring my own. Wrong information. Fabulous gas fireplace, great master shower. Wish the master bedroom had a chair for putting on shoes. Not a deal breaker. However this gorgeous house is in the middle of nowhere. Perfect for a reclusive vacation, but unfortunately, we were out everyday driving 45 minutes into Bar Harbor, Acadia, 20 minutes to grocery store, etc. Love Maine.
Great place. Very clean and modern. Excellent location, off the beaten path for peace & quiet, but close to many sites and activities. I would definitely recommend to friends and we hope to stay again next year
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is off the beaten path and at first we weren't sure that would work for us. Instead, it was one of the best parts of our trip! The home is located on a peninsula with a cove on one side and Bay on the other. We felt at home and completely comfortable in this beautifully decorated home and didn't want to leave. It's only a short 10 minute drive to town and took us 40 minutes to get to the top of Cadillac Mountain for sunrise. We relaxed and enjoyed cooking lobsters and sitting in front of the fire and playing games and just decompressing and reconnecting. This was our home base while we explored Acadia, Mt Desert Island and the vicinity and we actually looked forward to returning every day to enjoy all the home offered. We'd love to return to this home if our travels take us this way again.
When we walked into the house we were pleasantly surprised. It is a beautiful, well appointed home. The common area with the living room, dining room and kitchen was spacious with souring ceilings. The fireplace was huge and a joy to look at. The master bedroom is roomy, and the master bath is huge. The upstairs bedrooms are small, but have more than enough room for our needs, as they were just a place to sleep while we spent our awake vacation time staying busy. The deck is just like the picture shows - roomy with a lovely view. I awoke every morning to find my parents (in their 70's) sitting in the deck chairs sipping coffee and watching the tide roll out, where my wife and I would join them. The owners provision the house with so many vacation type of ammenties that I was rather surprised. They provided not just all you normal stuff like coffee maker/Kurig, cooking pans and utensils, etc. But also things like boxes of different hats for different weather, bug spray, day trip bags, games galore, brochures for many local attractions, local maps, and so much more. They even had those types of things you don't think to take with you but are so convenient like kids benedril (in cases of a bee sting), band-aids, and a wide variety of the type of stuff you almost inevitably end up making a run to the drug store for. It is obvious the owners put a lot of thought and care into their home and those who they are sharing it with. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this home to anyone.
