Great place for a couple
We enjoyed our time in Edisto, the house was clean and just like advertised. We loved that our dogs had room to run in the fenced yard and it was just a short drive to the beach and restaurants. We will definitely book again. :)
We've stayed at this location before and it does not disappoint! We love that it is out of the way but close enough to everything we need. Debbie was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We can't wait to return again!
We were scheduled to stay on Memorial Day weekend but the weather was calling for gale force winds and temperatures 30 degrees below average temperatures. Our host was graceful enough to call and give us the option of a another weekend which turned out to be perfect weather. Not many people would have done that. We had a great weekend, loved the fenced in yard for the dogs and will be forever grateful for our host changing our dates.
This was the first trip in 20 years that it was just the two of us and it was perfect! This rental was small but for just two people it was enough. (Well, except for the living room area. There was just the loveseat to relax on. I would much preferred to have two comfy chairs). The property had a great yard for our pups and it was very secluded.
PERFECT
The Cottage was very clean in a relaxing rustic setting. The Cottage is very well equipped, loved the fenced yard for our dog.The only change I would make is to add a larger refrigerator, otherwise a 5 star rental.
Perfect for my solo getaway. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings, and 10 minutes from the beach. The owners care and attention to detail really shows. For a cozy, semi-rustic (no full kitchen) affordable vacation, this is the place. Bring drinking water.
Traveled with my husband and 2 Labrador Retrievers. Cottage is privately located in a wooded area with a fence around it which was perfect for the dogs. Grounds are well kept. Cottage is very clean and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Access is on a well maintained unpaved road which was great for long morning walks with the dogs. Close to the beach (clean beach and dog friendly). Owner is super friendly and easy to contact. Highly recommend!
well stocked cottage in a very wooded, tree area...........about 10 minutes to beaches.........a few good restaurants nearby.....good tv reception............
We loved the little house. Just right for us and our two dogs. Loved that it had a large fenced in yard for the dogs. Hosts were very helpful when we had an issue with parking our boat trailer.
Secluded and peaceful…this property is ideal for two people (and pups). Short drive to beach but far away from the crowds. Owners are friendly and very helpful.
Very cute, quiet, great get away from it all place. Its a 15 minute drive to the ocean, and there's many accesses to the beach to park and enjoy the area. Clean up upon exit a little more than most places, but our stay was quite enjoyable. Would stay again!
Over the past few years, my family and I have preferred renting a cabin in the mountains versus vacationing at the beach. When you go to the mountains, you get to experience the beautiful views even when you are not in your cabin unlike having to actually be on the beach to experience the beach. This little private cabin in the woods on Edisto Island gave us the best of both worlds. Starting with the drive... it is beautiful. The large oak trees create a tunnel over the roads with their Spanish moss hanging down with very minimal traffic felt like traveling back in time. This cabin is very centrally located on the island just a short distance off the main road. From the moment we pulled through the little picket fence gate and my wife saw the screened in reading nook just a few steps off of the tiny cabin, I knew I had selected the right place. The cabin is tiny, but not cramp at all. It was tastefully decorated and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and utensils, and you had the bare essentials as far as spices and condiments. There is a mini fridge, a large toaster oven and a portable countertop stove, so you are probably not going to make a fantastic gourmet meal... but again perfect for our little getaway. It definitely served its purpose for the few meals we did make and for keeping our leftovers from meals in town. The bedroom is just off of the main room of the house. The king size bed was very comfortable, and the room had its own AC unit and floor fan for added comfort. There is no door, but rather a curtain that can be shut for privacy if needed. It was also adequate for when the wife was sleeping and I was either watching TV, making breakfast or both. My wife's favorite place was the screened in porch a few steps away from the cabin. That is where she started and ended her days reading. It faced towards a little pond and away from the road. Chairs, a reading lamp and another tall floor fan are provided for more comfort. The whole property is fenced in, and so it would be good for keeping an eye on kids or dogs if you brought them. I mean it when I say the cabin is centrally located. They have a folder full of information of things to see and do on the island ... and everything felt equidistant to the cabin so you could easily run home between outings. The beauty of Edisto speaks for itself, and this little secluded cabin in the woods is a fantastic place to relax and take it all in.
My husband and I had an amazing little getaway for 2! Comfortable and cozy cottage, complete with fenced yard, woods/pond view, and screened Tiki hut. We enjoyed every moment. Home was clean and well equipped. Surroundings were quiet and soothing. Helpful information about local things to see and do. We were in town for a family wedding at the nearby Presbyterian church and this was the perfect spot to return to each day. Don't miss Botany Bay. Returning home relaxed and restored. We will definitely come back. The Coggin's - Greenville, SC
