This 18th century stone built cottage is located in the village of Fairbourne close to Barmouth on the west coast of Wales and can sleep five people in three bedrooms.

Railway Cottage is an 18th century stone-built, mid-terraced cottage on the edge of the seaside village of Fairbourne between the Cambrian Mountains and Barmouth Bay in the Snowdonia National Park. With two double bedrooms, one single room and a family bathroom, this cottage can sleep five people in comfort. The rest ofthe accommodation is made up of a fitted kitchen, a dining room with a woodburning stove and a sitting room with an electric fire. Outside the cottage are enclosed front and rear patio gardens with furniture and a BBQ as well as off road parking for two cars. With the beach just a fifteen minute walk away, Railway Cottage is the ideal holiday destination for a family looking to spend their holiday playing in the sand.

The well-known town of Barmouth, with its pubs, restaurants and beautiful beach, is only a 30 minute walk away along The Bar, a strip of land along which the Fairbourne steam railway runs. The whole region offers excellent walks, mountain biking and watersports, and is home to many species of birds that flock to the area's sheltered beaches and rock pools. Discover Dolgellau and delightful Aberdovey, and visit the magnificent sights of medieval Harlech Castle, Portmeirion Italianate village and the wonderful Snowdonia National Park, all within a short drive.

    The house lies in a beautiful part of Wales . Ideal for walking and cycling The house was well equipped although WiFi would have been nice We enjoyed our stay very much

    Enjoyed our stay in Railway Cottage, quite cosy inside but in need of a little TLC. However the outside gardens were littered with weeds and far too overgrown compared to the photographs.
