Quiet waterfront cottage

Beautiful cottage in a wonderful location. Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay. Malcome and Penny are amazing and made our stay very enjoyable. When the weather wasn't great we could relax and read at the bay window overlooking the lake, and when the water was calm cought fish straight from the back lawn. Highly recommended!

Absolute gem of a property, very private , sensational view and position on the lake . Hosts were lovely and very accomodating. I highly recommend this little piece of tranquility

As soon as we walked in, the view from the large picture window was amazing, with extensive views of the lake.The outdoor setting was practically on the water's edge, and a lovely spot for relaxing.A 60 second walk took us to a pontoon where the fish were biting.The only sound we heard at night was the sound of the water lapping.A lovely place to unwind.

Gorgeous view from the bedroom and back yard, right on Lake Macquarie. Malcolm and Penny were very friendly, we learned a lot of things about the region while chatting with them.

Superb location close to shops very quiet at night

A quiet little ‘granny flat’ overlooking the lake. Very comfortable, with simple compact kitchen incorporated. As indicated in a notice, wifi was best in kitchen area: sometimes no connection in the contiguous bedroom section. Malcolm and Penny very welcoming: Malcolm providing great local advice.

Owners live next door so check in was easy. Basic but adequate kitchen facilities. We were able to park with a trailer in the driveway. Fabulous, relaxing view. Lovely little sunny sitting spot, by the water, out the front.

What a beautiful place set amongst green lawns and beautiful gardens.We stayed for three nights over the Easter weekend. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful hosts. The place was very comfortable, clean and homely. The kitchenette contained all the necessary requirements for cooking meals. The bed was very comfortable and the two arm chairs were perfect for enjoying the view. We will definitely return.situated.

The place was absolutely beautoful, the view was spectacular, and Malcom and Penny were nothing short of welcoming, i would definetly want to come back and visit. The locak area was amazing and the people were all kind! Definitely highly recommend.

we spent a lovely weekend at the property, its in a nice quiet street with an amazing outlook over the lake. Its an easy waking distance to Yacht Club and workers club for meals. Cottage is comfortable with all required amenities. would happily rebook .

We loved our stay here last weekend. The property backed directly onto the lake, we spent most of our time enjoying being in the garden fishing and enjoying the water. The most relaxing time. The property itself was very clean and had everything we needed with the most beautiful view. The photos don’t do the place justice as it was even nicer in person! Great location and within walking distance to town.Malcolm was a great host.We will be recommending this place to our friends looking for a weekend away and we most definitely hope to come back ourselves.Thank you

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Malcom and Penny were very friendly and accommodating and they have a lovely garden The position of the studio was perfect, right on the lake, very private, very quiet and well appointed. It was quite close to Toronto for coffee shops and restaurants and a central point exploring for the area. Thoroughly recommend Shanes Seafood Shop which is not on the main street

Nothing fancy here. This home and its hosts are old world, warm, welcoming and comfortable. Come here to destress from harsh and fast city life. Slow down and bathe in the sunshine, listen to the gently lapping waters of Lake Macquarie, wander into town along the waterfront or just count shells and paddle about in the shallow waters of your beach. The most stress you'll endure during your stay is having to decide which cafe to hang in. This place is honey for the soul. Thank you to the owners for sharing it with us.

The unit is situated on lake Macquarie and has a wonderful outlook. There is a small kitchenette and it has the basics, tho a bit crammed in. The unit is close to the Toronto shops and was comfortable to stay in.
