Nice and quiet

What a wonderful weekend! The cottage was perfect- clean , extremely well stocked with high quality things, and just lovely! Beautiful place for a lovely peaceful book club trip!

My brother, father and I chose this place to celebrate my father’s second retirement with some no-distractions time together. This cottage was perfect. And the pictures are exactly what we got. It’s pristine, peaceful, placid. A perfect place to just sit, talk, and reconnect.I don’t know that I’ve ever been anywhere so quiet. At times the only thing I could hear was my tinnitus.This place was pretty amazing.

Lovely Cottage!!All expectations were exceded! Clean, Quiet, but convienent location not too far from things to do in which we found more than we could do in a weekend!Great communications through the app, and or texting.Highly recomend!

Super cozy space with everything you need for home away from home.

The cottage was beautiful. The Christmas decor was a welcoming touch. We wish we could have stayed longer.

It was a lovely cottage in a lovely setting and the hosts had decorated for Christmas which made it very warm and cozy. We had most everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed our time there with walks in the woods and family Christmas fun and games. We would look forward to returning again—maybe in the fall for some lovely fall color.

Such a lovely place, very inviting, subtle attractive decorating, new appliances. The location was superb! At the top of a hill with trees all around, quiet & calming. At night we could see the lights of homes way below & sunrise was thru the window right over the bed in the master bedroom. The back porch was a real bonus. I sat out there and listened to the birds and read a book. And the clawfoot tub lived up to its name! Definitely booked a whole lot of memories on this trip thanks to the care that the Maxwells give to this home from the real home.

Easy access and very responsive hosts. The house was quite charming with the holiday decorations. We will definitely keep this home on the short list for future trips to Cookeville.

The hosts were great! This little cottage made the perfect weekend getaway with college friends for a reunion weekend. We will definitely be booking this house again for future stays and we would recommend this cottage to anyone that is looking for a place to stay in the area!

We love this place and the location. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and brought another couple and they loved it too! Really love being secluded in the woods and having a nice town and trails with beautiful water falls so close. The hosts were great! I messed up the dates on our reservation and didn’t notice it til 2 weeks before and they graciously worked it out with us.3rd times a charm so we will be back.

This is the cutest house in a beautiful setting. The attention to detail is excellent! The kitchen was well stocked, as were the bathrooms. It only takes a few minutes to get into the city of Cookeville. We will definitely recommend this house to our friends and will stay here again if we are in the area. Clean, modern, and secluded. The driveway is VERY curvy and the cabin sits on top of a mountain. You need to drive slowly and carefully especially at night! The cabin sits on top of a mountain. It is secluded and very dark outside at night. It was very clean and new inside. The owners made us an excellent charcuterie that also included grapes and 3 kinds of cheese. It was large enough to feed two people for lunch. There are pieces in the front and back. The one on the back is screened and has very comfortable patio furniture with a view of the surrounding yard and woods. As well as a gas fireplace in the living room there is fire pit surrounded by chairs in the back near the woods. There is surprisingly a lot to do in Cookeville with lots of places to dine, shop, museums to visit and trails to hike. All in all we had an outstanding time and we will definitely be coming back!

This was a lovely, quiet and very comfortable cottage just outside of Cookeville, TN situated in a very private area of a small mountain. Tastefully decorated, comfortable furniture, a full kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals, and a great backyard with a fire pit made this stay so, so wonderful. We were celebrating our 33 wedding anniversary and we wanted to just get away and do some hiking & see waterfalls at the three State Parks that are a short drive. The hosts were very communicative and have done such a great job with this cottage. We missed it as soon as we drove away. We hope to be back within the next year or so for another nice stay!

I choose this cottage due to it being secluded and its quiet surroundings and this place delivered! My husband and I saw deer and game ever morning. I love that the cottage had everything you would need to cook or clean up after ones self. I would rent this exquisited charming cottage again. Thank you for a positive experience.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The property was perfect. Great mountain hideaway. Wish we could have stayed several more days.

It was a charming cottage . Comfy seating , comfy beds . Great screened back porch . Well and thoughtfully equipped. I particularly loved the bubble bath left for use in the claw foot tub. If you have any reason to stay in Cookeville , this is your place !

Got to go back to the place where I used to go when my grandparents were alive and it was as beautiful as it was back then.

We were so happy we chose this cottage. Our family had so much fun with the grandchildren playing in the yard, sitting on the back screened- in porch drinking coffee, and preparing home cooked meals for my grandchildren. So private and loved being back in nature. Really enjoyed our four night stay and would highly recommend.

Our big family loved our stay. The front and back yards are huge and perfect for the kids. Very private.

Beautiful, comfortable home! We were in town from Chicago to celebrate my mom & brother's birthday. Location was great for us as my parent’s home is 10min down the road. The home is well stocked, very clean and owner communication was fantastic. I will stay in this house or their Love Shack home on the same property the next time I’ll be in town.

I loved this place! It was decorated so nicely and made me feel like home. Easy to get to a lot of the state parks to go hiking and close enough to town if anything was needed. I will definitely keep return on future visits to Tennessee.

My family and I were hiking local waterfalls for our new years tradition, it was the perfect place for us to rest and recharge for our next day of hiking. Cozy and clean, a great addition to our family memories!

We chose the property for its amazing reviews and proximity to TTU. Our daughters graduated and we wanted a home base for family. Our whole stay was great and we hope to visit again.

Lovely cottage home in the woods, quiet yet close to the University. We spent the weekend with our son who attends Tech for his birthday. The home is very comfortable, clean and the kitchen is well equipped. We had a campfire and there's a large wood pile provided. It's a gem, we would love to stay again for our future visits!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and inviting, and the location was convenient to all of the falls we visited.

This was our second trip to this cottage and we cannot say enough wonderful things about it! It is absolutely perfect for a family or even a group of friends to get away from the busyness of life for a few days. It was immaculately clean, so charming, and the owners provided everything you could think of to be comfortable. We enjoyed cooking breakfast on the blackstone in the morning and sitting around the fire pit at night. You truly cannot see another person in either direction out there and the sounds of the outdoors while sitting on the screened in back porch make you never want to leave. We can’t wait to come back!

Great location to visit various family members in other cities.

Loved the area. Easy to hop on East 40 to enjoy many sights and activities in Tennessee. Enjoyed the beauty, quiet and wildlife this location offered. Inside was comfortable and stocked with cooking items and dishes, etc. the screened porch was a delight!

Coupled with a wedding at Lane's Bend, This was the perfect place for the bridesmaids to stay. Totally peaceful, beautiful and serene, yet less that 3 miles away and only about 5 minutes.The house is perfectly cute with a front porch and a great screened back porch to relax and visit. Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful to work with and communicate with. We stayed at a different location and I was totally jealous of the bridesmaids for the location and experience they had at this house. Thank you Elizabeth for your part in making the wedding weekend special. May you be blessed for sharing your home and kindness with us.

This was our 4th year to stay here. We love the cabin and all it offers. Great location and fully stocked. We plan to return next year.

Spacious enough for the 4 of us. We never felt crowded like we would have in a Hotel room. Everything you need is there to use. Private and quiet.
