Check-in was a breeze. Main cabin was very clean and “up to date”. Cottage was rustic but charming. We did not use but I am sure it is ok for additional sleeping. The fact that there is no a/c was not an issue. Even on hot days the cabin cools off nicely for sleeping. Many fans provided. I would suggest adding a dishwasher to main cabin. Many unused cabinets that could be replaced to allow installation. Nobody enjoys doing dishes on vacation. Only other suggestion is more comfy furniture in living room area for rainy day tv viewing or family game nights. Overall…exceptional stay.

We had a great time. The cabins and the setting were beautiful The kitchen was well equipped. Nice selection of spices were available. The lake was beautiful the water is crystal clear. Kezar Lake Marina was helpful in renting the boat. All you could hear at night were the loons! We had fun exploring the island and the lake as well as the surrounding area. Breakfast of blueberry pancakes made with blueberries that we had picked that morning was an added treat.

We spent a week on Sheep Island in July 2024. We loved it. The accommodations were beautiful, the kitchen well enough equipped, the beds comfortable, the lake clean and the view amazing. We had 2.5 days of rain so were glad for the games and puzzles available. I think it would have been nice to have a clothesline for the swimming towels to dry. The chairs in the main area were about the only thing we would change. With the amount of rain, we were stuck inside but not very comfortably. There wasn’t enough cushion on any of the chairs…they just need to be restuffed and maybe a couple more chairs. We had 7 people and 4 comfortable chairs.

We loved our stay on Sheep Island with the family, kids and grandparents. We have been coming to Kezar for years so are familiar with this part of the lake. We were so happy with the property which faces the mountains for great sunsets and views. Cabin 1, which is newly renovated was our home base for relaxing and eating meals with Cabin 2 mainly used for sleeping. The boatride to and from the private dock is less than 5 minutes, with access to the lake and cabin an easy walk. Cabin 2 is a bit further up, but a lovely walk through a well maintained path. We had one rainy and chilly day and the fireplace was lovely. Our host was very attentive and we felt very well taken care of during our stay. Both cabins have everything you need. We would love to come back again!

We were a party of 8, myself, my 2 daughters and their husbands and my 3 grandchildren 15, 12, and 10. Sheeps Island was beautiful although under attack from gypsy moths this summer. Our accommodations consisted of 2 cabins. One looked brand new, or just redone. The other farther up the hill was an older rustic cabin. Both were very clean and well supplied. We had the Island to ourselves. The dock held my son-in-law's 22 ft pontoon boat and our many water toys. It seemed like we had our end of the lake all to ourselves even though our stay started on the 4th of July weekend. Every day the kids kayaked, paddle boarded, tubed boated. I enjoyed reading and relaxing on the screened porch of cabin 1. The water was clear the lake scenic. We could not have asked for more. Our only suggestion would be to replace the mattresses in cabin 2 as they were not as comfortable as they might have been.
