Stayed Jul 2, 2022Gilmore Camps is truly beautiful- the landscaped lawns, sandy beach and of course Kezar Lake. We had a wonderful week-long stay at the Lake Cottage where the lake was in constant view. The cabin was fantastic- much larger than expected, kitchen had all the cooking amenities needed. It is very clear that Tom and Debbie put a lot of time, effort and care into keeping the cabins and the entire camp updated. The lake was wonderful to swim in- great for the kids and just a short swim out to the floating dock for the grownups. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We are counting the days until our next visit! This is one of our favorite family vacations. Time to unplug and experience a true lake adventure: swimming to the dock, kayaking to our favorite ice cream shop, fishing at sunset, listening to the loons, and watching the bald eagles soar. Tom and Deb provide pristine accommodations. We never say goodbye, for us it's see you next year.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969If you're looking for a quiet retreat, yet with other friendly people around, you have found it at Gilmore Camps on beautiful KezarLake in southern Maine. Tom & Debbie are the ultimate hosts as they introduce you to the many amenities available. It's the attention to the small details that make such a huge difference in your stay. Whether its swimming in a pristine lake, relaxing on a beautifully maintained beachfront (while listening to the call of the loons), playing pool or horseshoes, preparing dinner on one of the provided grills or in your fully equipped kitchen, you will enjoy your stay to the max! Shopping, restaurants, hiking, golf... areall nearby. I don't know about you, but the private, outdoor warm showers give Gilmore Camps a 6-star rating.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have been coming to Gilmore Camps for 14 years. We always stay in the Lake Cottage, next to the private beach and right on beautiful Kezar Lake. We have come alone as a couple, we've come with family, we've come with friends from around the country and even around the world. All have raved about the experience. Each time we come, we're reminded of the beauty of the Kezar Lake/Lovell, ME area and the wonderful experiences on offer there. Tom and Debbie Gilmore are wonderful hosts, offering just the right balance of guest privacy and welcoming care and hospitality. The camp and all the cottages are beautifully kept, very clean, rustic but with full conveniences, all with access to the wonderful Lake and a variety of recreational activities. We can't recommend Gilmore Camps more highly, or Tom and Debbie Gilmore as hosts. For one week or longer, Gilmore Camps and Lovell, Maine is a quiet jewel that will likely draw you in as it has us.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our group has been coming here for over 20 years. Our toddlers are now in their teens and twenties. There is such a wide diversity of activities for everyone - kayaks, canoes, swimming, floating devices, beach toys for kids young and young hearted, pool table, board games, books, docks, nearby marina, wonderful local restaurants, days trips into the mountains for hiking, and quiet places to talk, read or simply sit and absorb the peaceful surroundings. Thank you Tom and Debbie for being such gracious hosts!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Gilmore Camps. My family has been vacationing in Maine for over 40 years and this Summer was our second at Gilmore. Having small children, this setting couldn't be anymore perfect! There is a huge flat property plus a beachfront at the lake that is perfect for the kids to play without having to worry about them falling on rocks or off of a dock. The entire grounds are very kid friendly. The view of the mountains over Kezar Lake is absolutely breathtaking, not to mention the star filled sky at night. Tom and Debbie are so nice and always accommodating. There is an available washer and dryer which is great and also the amazing outdoor showers! They are not only great for adults but also make it very easy to bathe the kids after a fun-filled day on the lake. I hope to make Gilmore Camps a family tradition for years to come!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our family have been spending the last 6 years at a Gilmore Camp and it's always a wonderful experience. The grounds are beautifully maintained, cabins are clean and provides everything you need to be comfortable. The beach area is great for all ages. Our grandchildren love the sandy beach and shallow area for them to play. The view of the lake is spectacular. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, sight seeing and hiking all within 40 minutes to the camp.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My family has been coming to Maine for 40+ years and this was our 2nd year staying at the Gilmore Camps. I cant say enough wonderful things about Gilmore!! I have two small children and the grounds are extremely child friendly. There a huge flat property where the kids can run around and a beachfront at the lake which is very important when you have small children. For them to be able to wade at their leisure, without worrying about them falling on rocks or falling off a dock is a major plus for me. The grounds and cabin are kept very clean and the access to a washer and dryer is also a plus. The outdoor showers are heavenly and also make it very easy to bathe the kids after a great day at the lake. Overall, the vibe is a laid back, gorgeous atmosphere. The views of the mountains and lake are breathtaking, not to mention the stars at night. Tom and his wife are very friendly and always available for anything you may need. This is a place I'd love to make a tradition for my family.
