We had an amazing time on Manistee Lake. The house was the perfect set up for my wife and I, and our twin twelve year old girls. The girls had the loft area to themselves and my wife and I enjoyed the quiet time downstairs or on the patio looking out at the serene lake. The house had all of the amenities to make it a great vacation home and Manistee Lake is the perfect size to explore by kayak, or pull the kids behind a boat. The homeowners were extremely communicative and checked in on us by text throughout our stay to ensure everything was going great. I highly recommend this property for an outstanding lake getaway in Northern Michigan!!

This cottage was a perfect fit for our family of 6. It has all the at home touches and is in a prime location. The kitchen has everything you need for a home cooked meal. The back yard is stunning and we enjoyed many meals on the gazebo. The kayaks were a big hit too! Don't miss out! Thank you John & Kris!

The cottage and property were set up nicely. It was super clean. Everything was simple and easy to access. We had a great experience. The owners were very friendly and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended!

Our family of six, including four teenagers, was looking for a lake cottage for a quick four day getaway, and we are so glad we picked this one! Everything was thoughtfully planned out by the owners for our stay, including generous supplies, great beach towels, and the best cookware we have ever had at a rental. The kitchen was extremely organized and easy to find anything you need. Additionally, the hosts left a little welcome basket of snacks for the kids, which were quickly devoured. Our hosts were responsive and messaged to see if we had any questions. The bedding and mattresses were perfect and everyone slept well. As for the lake, it is a beautiful and quite lake. The kids were out on the kayaks every day, and the sunsets were stunning. In addition to a fire pit lakeside, there is also a fire pit in the front yard, in case there is too much of a breeze. We enjoyed using both and also the ample space in the front yard for cornhole and throwing a football around. While we didn’t use it much, there were plenty of charging stations and the WiFi was strong. Don’t let the lack of reviews stop you from booking this cottage. With it being a new rental, I’m sure it will be getting five star reviews and be difficult to get a reservation here in the future. We hope to be back again next year!
