The home was very clean (although I did have to clean what was either rust or some other mineral deposit out of the Keurig reservoir) and the instructions about check in and check out were clear. It was easy to find and located close to a nice nature trail. The bedrooms were in the rear-facing section of the house which shielded them from road noise and we slept well. We enjoyed the woods around the property and saw some deer in the morning. A couple negatives - we did not want to spend a lot of time in the house because it smelled very strongly of mothballs. The road the house is on very very loud. The lake was not especially visible or accessible due to overgrowth of reeds/grasses.

The house was wonderful! I just wish they had updated the pictures of the dock and “water access”. Dock is warped and water was so low that there was no access to the lake.

It's a cute cottage with a great stream that my daughter loved to use for hunting frogs! The property is nice and shaded with a nice fire pit area we enjoyed using for hotdogs and s'mores. The location is nice, and while the road is a bit noisy, there's quick access to Hawley and Lake Wallenpaupack. We did notice the house had a bit of a mothball smell and the lake access was pretty much unusable with the shallow water and reeds choking the dock. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the home was a good value for a weekend visit.

the cabin was close to our family…clean quiet and comfortable. loved the lake…a bit challenging to get out on water with weeds and water level but you can’t beat the atmosphere. great for a campfire and star gazing. a few deer and chipmunk came to visit too!

House was very cute and neat and clean, nice spot fairly private except for some road noise. A few problems, the bbq was out of propane, and the si k should pull out for a hose, but instead when you pull the faucet it comes right off and sprays water everywhere. Tried texting the host multiple times but she never responded. Other ode a good stay

The house was beautifully setup. Had all the convinces of home. Hostess was very good. Overall stay was good. However not related to the unit, the lake was full of weeds and we were unable to enjoy it.

The cottage was cute in its own way. It was comfortable for 2. Perhaps we missed this little info on the instructions/listing. The question of whether the water was safe to drink from the faucet...every time we turned on the shower the water ran orange/rusty. All in all it was a relaxing stay. We were once B&B owners so we are familiar with hospitality standards...there were packaged snacks in a welcome bowl and some were very stale. I would want to know those little details. Thank you.

The house is a cute little house in the woods. The house did not disappoint. It was clean and served its purpose. The only disappointment was the dock and the access to the lake. We were excited to squeeze some fishing in but we discovered it was not an easy task. The little stream of water the dock is next to is too shallow to float the boat out to the lake. We had to walk the boat out but then caught some fish. It wouldhave been better if we were mentally prepared before hand.

We really loved our stay here and hope to come back someday! Just a few little things that could be improved. We went to grill and there was no propane in the propane tank which was a bummer. We were also looking forward to letting our 2 year old play on the play gym outside but it was in pretty rough shape. He enjoyed throwing rocks in the creek instead and that kept him entertained!! It was really nice that the house had toys for him to play with!!

The property was spotless, and the amenities in the home were great, especially for kids. The lake was a letdown. The rowboat had no oarlocks, so you need to row it like a raft, and required dragging it through 30 feet of mud to get to the actual lake. Fishing from shore is impossible, as the lily pads and reeds block access to open water. It was disappointing, as we had anticipated spending a day on the water, but it was just too hard to get in and out. The kayak was ok, but only allowed for one person at a time. We still had a nice time in the area though, and the host was responsive.

We were looking for something quaint near a lake to get away for a few days in the Poconos, and this wonderful property checked every box. The house was beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches by the owner throughout. The property is very private, but an easy drive to retail, restaurants, etc. And we loved having a fire in the firepit by the lake. The owner was great in her communications, with very clear instructions. Would definitely return without hestitation.
