Private Cabin w/ Hot Tub • Near Beaches & Trails • King Bed

This place was truly a highlight of our trip. It is nestled between mossy boulders and in a lovley forest...very beautiful surroundings. Everything was so clean and cozy, the hot tub and fireplace in excellent working order. We appreciated the washer & dryer and full kitchen, too!

We had a great stay! The hot tub was ready to go as soon as we arrived and the whole outdoor area (garden, putting green, benches, greenery) was very cute. A very cozy place inside as well! Definitely would come back :)

This cabin has it all: privacy, comfort, and a beautiful property. The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed and we enjoyed spending time in the hot tub. Also, after a busy day, there was nothing better than crawling into the incredibly comfortable bed. Great communication from the host, too-they were quick to answer any questions we had.

The place was super cute, clean and comfy. We specifically booked for the hot tub. Which did not disappoint. In the early morning the birds were singing and the deer came by. Nice and quiet. Very relaxing.

Our stay was everything we were looking for. The cabin was very clean and cozy. The peaceful setting made it easy to unwind, especially while in the hot tub. The cabin had everything you need, comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchen, and thoughtful touches throughout that makes you feel right at home. Host Jamie is very responsive making it a smooth process. Highly recommend this property.

It is a perfect setting for a quiet getaway and close to some beautiful beaches. The cottage was well equip with everything one would need. We enjoyed ourselves so much we extended are stay. Incredible stay! Gorgeous and charming house, generously appointed with amenities. Absolutely breathtaking location, nestled on all sides by picturesque forest.We saw a group of deer come within a few meters for the house for a little nibble!Host was very kind, no cleanup procedure required!

Such a gorgeous location, the hottub was a hit, the beautiful fire pit area was a nice touch, and everything was well stocked. There was even a fire-starter log setup waiting for us in the wood stove. Definitely would visit again.

Absolutely stunning location, comfortable, quiet, and idyllic.Pros include the fully-equipped kitchen which was great to cook in, the comfy bed, large TV, and beautiful grounds/patio/hot tub.One nitpick is that there is a home at the base of the hill the cabin is on, and because of the quantity of windows (some of which don't have curtains) you can feel observed at certain angles. But as complaints go that's pretty minor - I live with that every day in the city. We had a wonderful stay doing puzzles and watching deer through the windows. Strongly advise a stop at the My-Chosen Café and the Crazy Cookie House while you're in the area, and picking up some farm-fresh goodies from nearby farm stands. Metchosin is a special place, secluded and lovely while an easy drive from the city.Would eagerly stay again!

This was a wonderful getaway for our honeymoon — my husband and I were both down with a bad cold the minute we landed, but staying isolated was the easiest and most peaceful thing we could have done that whole week. The kitchen was well-stocked with supplies, and so was the bathroom with toiletries, the entire cottage was clean and fresh, and best of all was the privacy of the property. For anyone looking for a comfortable place to enjoy quiet, this is the place!

Very well appointed and comfortable home in a lovely and quiet environment. It’s halfway between Victoria and Sooke so you can visit and explore both areas easily. Would recommend.

Secluded, unique and super charming property. The loft bedroom was beautiful and super comfy. The kitchen was stocked, coffee creamer and butter which made breakfast easy on the morning.

We had a fantastic stay here! Everything was spotless and well-equipped. The hot tub was a highlight, especially with our toddlers. The king bed was super comfy, and the kitchen had all the essentials. The host was sweet and very friendly, also super helpful when it came to recommending nice places to visit in the area! We just loved it, as did our children and would definitely highly recommend it to others!

This was by far the best short term rental that I've ever stayed at. It had EVERYTHING we could need: every appliance, spices, condiments, plenty of towels and bedding, super responsive hosts. There was even fresh half-and-half in the fridge. It was the quietest place I've every been and a beautiful piece of property. This will be our preferred vacation spot forever. The driveway isn't as bad as it looks. You can do it.

Very beautiful and private location but still feels like you’re home because the cabin got everything we need. Checking in was easy, just key in the code to the front door. The kitchen was clean, complete of appliances, utensils and fully stocked. My friends also enjoyed sleeping in the sofa bed. I also appreciate the owner for preparing a pack ‘n play for my baby.

We had a lovely, relaxing time out of the city for a family weekend away while my parents were in town. The grounds are very serene with multiple different seating areas, tons of birds, fish, a couple deer, beautiful trees and landscaping. The siting of the two houses on the property made the guest house feel totally private.The unit was also the best stocked vacation place we've ever stayed at, with utensils and appliances for anything we could think of. We had no problem cooking all of our meals and were grateful for the coffee in the mornings. Check in/check out was super easy. Absolutely no complaints. Everything was perfect!

This was a gem of a place nestled in a beautiful forest with exquisite landscaping. It was so neat and clean and very well appointed - we had everything we needed. It was a very peaceful place to relax and recharge and appreciate nature. There were lots of windows to enjoy the views of the lovely garden and trees. The location had easy access to a multitude of trails for hiking. The bed was super comfortable which was awesome for our aging backs! I hope we get the chance to stay there again!

Stayed three nights. Incredibly beautiful forested setting. Soooo quiet and comfortable. Close enough to attractions, beaches, and restaurants to fill our days. Our host was excellent. Every detail thoughtfully curated. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at this place! Very peaceful and quiet. Everything we needed was there and the house was stocked. There is a little barrel on the deck with water and fountain with some fish in it, that was super cool. There is also is a little aviary with a dove. He was puffing up, dancing in circles and singing, also super cool. The check in and out process was simple and easy. This place is perfect for a couple that wants a get away or just a weekend trip. We will definitely be back.

An amazing cottage in the woods. There was absolutely everything that one could want and more. The hostess had the Christmas Tree up in the living room and all the lights outside were beautiful. This spot was a perfect one for us. To have our private time while visiting our family - Priceless!! Hostess was very accommodating and the cottage pristine. This hidden gem is far and above what we expected.

We had a lovely trip to Victoria and loved staying at Jamie’s charming cottage - perfectly located in a sweet town outside the city and equipped with everything we needed. I wish we had extended our stay to spend more time on the property - my toddler loved walking the little trails! Jamie was an excellent host - she was very responsive and thoughtful from booking throughout the entire stay.

This property is outstandingly beautiful, peaceful, idyllic, not too far from Victoria itself but the surrounding countryside and travel options are just amazing! We were also very impressed with the beautiful cared-for property...the external landscaping is wonderful, the indoor plants carefully tended for (that's a first for us!), and the coziness and comfortableness of the cottage was like staying in a 5 star property! We cannot rate this property highly enough!!! Absolutely loved it! Thank you so much, Jamie! So greatly appreciated!

Excellent stay in the woods. New kitchen and bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the feeling of being in the woods and only 10 minutes to shopping if needed.

This lovely little cottage offers all that's advertised and more! A pristine wilderness setting with gorgeous landscaping and a clean and well equipped home. The host Jamie is quick to answer any questions and also gave us complete privacy. Would stay here again in a second!

We loved our time in Metchosin! The cabin space and grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Lots of wildlife! We saw a woodpecker, tons of humming birds and eagles/hawks(?) and even a frog visitor on the bbq. The area has tons of great walks and places to visit. We had an issue with check in (not the host’s issue, definitely ours lol) and it was very easily resolved with quick communication from the host.

This is a spectacular rental with all the amenities anyone could want for a quiet vacation sanctuary. The rental is in a prime location on Vancouver Island, which we used to gain easy access to numerous hikes, swimming holes and beaches on the southwestern side of the Island. The location makes it easy to get to Victoria and or the various gardens but is removed enough that it’s peaceful and traffic is not an issue if you are not going into the city. The host responded quickly to the questions we had, and the rental was well stocked with what we needed to relax and prepare meals throughout our stay.
