Thank you for the experience at your property. Couldn’t have asked for more. Everything was beautiful, relaxing, and spot on!
A very sweet cabin right on the Ausable. We enjoyed falling asleep listening to the river and had a great time fishing, swimming, relaxing in this beautiful space.
Excellent location for playing golf at Forest Dunes. Very peaceful and the location of the river made the trip very relaxing.
Before I even found this listing, I had pictured in my minds eye, an old school cabin, in Northern Michigan on a bend of a river. The first pic I saw of this property absolutely fit the script! We had three adults, three kids and one dog. The cabin is really cool, lots of taxidermy and a true up north vintage feel. We also rented the pine bend fly shop game room, well worth it if you have kids or people that want to game. My critiques are few and little. The kitchen could be better prepared in the pots and pans department and some of the light bulbs were burnt out in the house which I wound up replacing. A better description of the HVAC and what the two thermostats control would be good too. Bottom line, we had a great time and I will rent again!
The cabin was a dream. Excellent location, with easy access to local lakes and rivers. Hope to return again.
Cute location but for the price needs a few updates. The mattresses in the bunk rooms are what I would expect at a kids summer camp. I would not suggest that any adults or adult size teens sleep in the bunk beds or in the twin beds. The mattress in the main bedroom and in the full bed were normal mattresses and just fine. The shower in the bunk room is tiny and in the summer it's warm and there are limited fans to keep the air circulating. Listing lists wifi. They do have a hotspot in the cabin but do not plan on trying to work or even stream social medial using the wifi. It can be used for very basic things but you will have to go into town to access wifi if you need to do anything other than just e-mails or texts. Would suggest that the owners stay and experience it as a guest. The second shower is really painful and could likely be resolved by just cleaning the shower head. The sprinklers come on early in the morning and the water hits the satellite dish waking up everyone on that side of the house since in the summer there isn't any AC and the windows are open. Given the price per night there are some simple improvements that need to be made. If the owners were a guest in their own place for a few days I think they would see the changes that need to be made considering the price that is being charged.
The house and accompanying grounds are meticulously maintained. The proximity to the ausable (20 feet) incredible .... the screened in porch awesome ! We loved our time - didn’t want to leave after our week at Pine Bend !
Beautiful, quiet space on the river.
