Stayed Jan 1, 1Kames and the property are ideal for cycling and kayaking. Views from inside are limited but outside chairs are comfortable. Limited storage and small fridge but clean and comfortable with lots of great eating places not far away.

Stayed Jun 23, 2025Small, quiet and cosy well-equipped cottage, immediately on the sea front with private deck area and pebbled beach, with main beach roped off and sloping down to sea. View of sea from inside cottage is more limited, but side windows do give a reasonable view. I was there on my own and although the cottage is equipped for 2, it would probably feel cramped for more than a couple of days if more than 1 person was staying there. There are pleasant places for coffee and to eat within walking distance or a short drive. Although quite a number of people walked past the cottage and along the beach with their dogs or to sail, it always felt quiet and tranquil.

Stayed May 13, 2025Stayed for a few days and were treated to some gorgeous weather, the location is stunning and not too far from Glasgow. The owners were very respectful with space and communication was great and done so through texting, would highly recommend.

Stayed Mar 10, 2025Lovely cottage in a beautiful location on the Kyles of Bute. Cottage great for 2 people close to all local amenities. Really enjoyed our stay and received excellent advice on the locality from Eileen the property’s owner. Would thoroughly recommend.

Stayed Aug 18, 2024Had an amazing and beautiful stay at this cosy cottage. Very attentive hosts and recommended things to do on the rainy days and helped with pumping up our tyres for the trip home! Would definitely stay again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Spent 4 nights at Pier Cottage, Kames. Although small, it had everything that we required and was ideal for our needs. The location is second to none. The owner Eileen was on hand for any advice and quickly sorted any minor issues. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Stayed May 15, 2024I had wonderful weather and the hosts could not have been more helpful. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Only 2 criticisms: the mirror in the bathroom should be a few inches lower. I am 5ft 2 inches and could only see the top of my head and pepper and salt would be very nice.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Very nice place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I slept best in that little cottage since years.
