Perfect Maine Cottage Directly on the Coast

I had the most amazing, relaxing stay with my pup. The ocean view is incredible and unbeatable. Being near the water is good for the soul - exactly what I needed. Being November, it was cold, but comfortable. The street was quiet and we loved walking alongside the water. My dog also got a kick out of watching the boats. I would absolutely love to make this an annual trip! Can’t say enough positive things - what a gem!!

This home is so relaxing and the views are the best!! Everything was exactly as stated. Just what we needed to get away.

Scott the host was amazing with communication. The place was as described and more! We loved it! Will keep an eye out on the calendar for dates kn future as we will be back! Loved that it was dog friendly!

Gorgeous ocean views from a deck cantilevered over a rocky coastline below. Comfy furniture and bed plus everything you’d want if you’re inclined to cook. E. Boothbay is the quieter area compared to Boothbay Harbor….the very definition of a relaxing retreat, which is what I needed.

This was such a magical week. The house and view are amazing. Close to everything we needed and easy to get to the area adventures, but also private enough to make it a perfect break from the rest of the world. We are already looking forward to getting back next year. Highly recommend this stay.

Views were wonderful, property was private and comfortable. Close to grocery stores and other amenities such as restaurants, ice cream, and downtown Boothbay.

Breathtaking views of the ocean. Host is terrific and thinks of everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing.

Everything about this cottage was special. It was so clean, fully stocked with everything you could think of, and had views that were amazing. Sitting in the living room felt like being on a boat, you were that close to the water. You could hear the waves against the rocks each night from the main floor bedroom. Whether we were fogged in or could watch lobster boats right off the deck, each morning was magical. We can't wait to come back next year!!

This cottage was a little slice of perfect. Right on the ocean. When we took a tour boat cruise we saw the cottage from the boat, awesome. It’s very quite short of the waves crashing on the rocks, but to me that’s music. The cottage has everything you’d need short of groceries, but there’s a store a few miles away. Looking forward to our next trip!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is clean, comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Gorgeous views from every window and sitting on the deck became our favorite pastime. We hope to return next year!

The cottage is charming. It is decorated nicely and has just about every kitchen utensil you could ask for. The master bedroom on the ground level is great for senior visitors. Children would probably enjoy the second bedroom in the loft.We also appreciated that we could take our dog. She loved being in the sun on the deck. The views are incredible.That and the deck outside overlooking the water were the best things about this property. It was unseasonably warm and humid during our stay, and there is no A/C. The breezes off the water were welcome, as were the many fans, but the humidity made everything feel wet and clammy. We would probably only choose to return in the fall or spring because of this. We know that Maine has traditionally not needed A/C near the coast, but, unfortunately, the climate is changing here as in the rest of the world. Scott was a very responsive host and we hope we can visit again- just not during the summer!

We truly loved our stay in the waterfront bungalow. Views were incomparable. Sounds of the water was intoxicating. Our host was super nice. This place and host deserve a 10 out of 10. Five stars is no enough.
