Peacefull hilltop cottage with huge ocean views!

a wonderful get-away spot! Peaceful, above the fog - or withviews of the water. Lovely gardens. No need to leave! fully equipped kitchen. AND Steve was thoughtful, friendly, yet respectful of our privacy.

This is a lovely place with beautiful views. Our only discomfort was the bed, it was not comfortable, we wish all lodging would convert to memory foam mattresses.

Very comfortable and clean. All the amenities given a lot of attention to. Gorgeous garden and flowers by relaxing patio. Overall quite cozy and inviting.

Property was nice and well maintained, what i didnt realize when i booked was that the owners live on site it was awkward and uncomfortable.

Hosts Steven and Beth are great, super nice and accommodating. Views to the ocean are really good, though facing a bit more south. Good area for birding. Driving to Samuel Boardman Corridor is easy and into Brookings about 10 minutes drive. Very peaceful stay!

Steven and Beth were amazing hosts and very helpful with local information! Their cottage was exactly as listed. Beautifully decorated, serenely quiet, and very comfortable. It was stormy during our stay, so the view wasn't perfect. But sitting on the porch, deeply inhaling the forest scent while having coffee, was the most relaxing experience one could ask for! We wished we could have stayed longer! If you're looking to relax and let the stress go, this is the perfect place to stay! A big thank you to Steven for making our time in Brookings magical!

We celebrated our 25th anniversary here and couldn’t have chosen a better place.This property is quiet, private and crazy clean. The hosts, while living right next door, were welcoming and informative, yet not bothersome in the least. In fact, we hardly heard them. The layout of the two places provide a great deal if privacy and sense of security.The view toward the ocean is fantastic!We really enjoyed ourselves here and strongly recommend these hosts and the space they offer.

Excellent location, on a hillside overlooking woods and the ocean. Nice cozy wood-trimmed interior, pretty much everything you need inside. About the size of my city one-bedroom apartment. Hosts were friendly and available, although I didn't need them much! Went seeking peace and quiet and mostly got it outside of a rambunctious dog or two down the hill. Just be careful of the spiders though! This is out in the woods and I had to deal with one on a semi-daily basis. No air conditioner either - I knew this going in - it got a little toasty in there a day or two early on, but I assume in general it's not a problem there.Still really enjoyed my time there!

Pictures don’t do this adorable place justice. The cabin is both cozy and spacious, and the flowers all around the property are gorgeous. And you can’t beat the view. Steven and Beth were fantastic hosts and we felt very welcome.

This was such a delightful little cottage. I needed a respite, a serene and quiet atmosphere. This cottage was the perfect resting spot to sit out with a cup of coffee and enjoy the gorgeous mountain view.I loved watching the hummingbirds and the sunset was spectacular.

The cottage was super clean and cozy. The garden was beautiful and the neighborhood was extremly guiet. We had a very relaxing time.

Exceptional property, wonderful hosts. We needed a couple days to relax and recharge and picked a place fairly last minute and felt blessed to stumble upon something so perfect. Steven and Beth were incredibly kind and welcoming, and made their remarkably picturesque cottage a lovely private retreat. Highly recommend to anyone who could use a few days relaxing in the beauty of the southern Oregon coast.

This idyllic cottage was just as described. The hosts were wonderful and gave us some great recommendations for things to do and restaurants to try. If you are looking for a peaceful, comfortable and beautiful place to get back to nature and reset, this would be the perfect place to go.

This cottage had an amazing view in a quiet area. Great getaway with all the amenities, a comfortable bed, and lots of hot water. Central to all we wanted to explore, it was in a great location for beaches and the forest. Top notch, would recommend to anyone.

This true gem is close to 5-7 min from downtown Brookings. My spouse and I booked this great space for a long weekend. It’s beautiful, calm and quiet with a charming outdoor space to view the ocean from atop the hill. Lovely lighted patio with flowers to watch the sunset! Such a great space and well appointed. Very comfortable bed and great furnishings. Hosts are on site. Welcoming and there if needed but very respectful of space and your privacy. One of the most pleasant, restful stays we’ve had at a VRBO property and we’ve stayed at many. If I could give 10 stars I would! Book this great property with confidence!

Great getaway in a beautiful secluded spot, but close to ocean & Brookings. Hosts are fabulous people.

This was a great place to stay. The location was beautiful and peaceful. The towels were wonderful. The bed was comfy. Host communicated great. I enjoyed a day of hiking in the redwoods and this was the perfect place to relax after.

My friend and I had a fantastic weekend at Steven and Beth’s! The cottage was cozy, clean, and perfect for a weekend stay. We appreciated the friendliness of the hosts and getting to enjoy their beautiful slice of the coast! We would definitely stay again.

Secluded but not far to town. Perfect for us!

The cottage is so charming and perfectly appointed with everything one needs to relax and feel at home.The view from the cottage's many windows is beautiful and even though our stay was during a torrential rain storm we enjoyed the coastal landscape and local eateries.Steven and Beth were fantastic hosts!We hope to return in the future.

What a beautiful hidden gem. Host were great. The atmosphere was spectacular. Felt like home. The view was breathtaking, hummingbirds all around. Last day a mother deer and her kids came by to say good bye. Definitely a place to relax and rejuvenate.

We stayed for the weekend and while we were hesitant about it being October weather, the temperatures inside and outside were enjoyable. The fog rolled in and obscured the ocean view, but the closeness with nature remained. We really enjoyed the landscaping with all the flowers, hummingbirds, and even tomatoes. It was the perfect weekend escape.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was super clean, the bed was comfy, and the views from every room are incredible. It truly is where the mountains meet the sea. Expansive sky views for stargazing and huge ocean views with spectacular sunsets. Perfect location, close to the best hiking and beaches. This was a great location to stay in. Fantastic views of the ocean from the outside patio or in the house. Great host! No complaints at all. First rate location to explore up and down the PCH. Not far from a park with redwoods to explore. There is a more rural trail and then a park not far away in CA. This spot is very close to the beach with numerous spots to pull off and see the coastline and forest. Lots of birds to check out while you enjoy your coffee on the patio.

Beautiful detached cabin with gorgeous sunset views. Hummingbirds to greet you and quiet to surround you. Easy to get to town but hust as easy to isolate. Steven was easy to chat with when needed, and everything was as listed. Would love to stay again!

What a fantastic time we had at Steven & Beth’s beautiful and cozy guesthouse. Spectacular views of the ocean and pines, summer gardens of flowers and hummingbirds and ripe tomatoes! Huge windows along the ocean side of the house which was stocked with everything we needed, complimentary delicious coffee, and a nice bottle of bubbly! Unfortunately Beth was out of town, but we had a great time chatting with Steve our fun and friendly host. We would love to come back and highly recommend this stay if you’d like to explore the Oregon coast, California redwoods and the gorgeous Smith River.

Lovely place with a beautiful view! We loved the outdoor bar overlooking the mountains and ocean. Steven gave us a great tip on where to buy crab right off the boat! Great place to stay!!

Upon arrival we were astounded by the scenery of the outside patio and as advertised the inside was very cozy and also very clean. 10 out of 10 stay. Would return.

We were greeted as we pulled up and shown the area. Its beautiful and out of the way. We totally enjoyed our stay of 3 nights.
