Peaceful rural retreat

What a wonderful little place. Fantastic location to get away from it all and to explore Dinan. Miranda couldn't have been more helpful with our booking and making sure our stay was perfect. Thank you. Will be sure to recommend and hopefully stay again in the future.

We had a lovely time between the flowers and fruit trees and in the well equipped cottage! Mira de really thought about everything detail. There are lots of nice places to visit in the area such as Dinan, Dinard and St. Malo.

This cottage is such a quaint place! It's all very thoughtfully arranged. And the garden is also so nicely composed. The smell of the honeysuckle is amazing! We even spotted a hummingbird hawkmoth! All in all, the house is not very spacious but alright for 2 grown-ups and 2 kids. And outside there's a big table to eat outside. The kitchen is totally equipped and there's a washing machine in the cellar, which is very handy. The village is really small and idyllic, albeit a bit remote. That needs to be considered beforehand. We enjoyed the quiet very much. And the busy, bubbly and outstandingly beautiful city of Dinan is just around the corner (a 10 minute drive away!). And many other sights are within reach, like Saint Malo, Mont Saint Michel, beautiful beaches etc. Go visit Whileaway Cottage!

We stayed in this delightful cottage in September, definitely ‘a peaceful rural retreat’. It is full of original features and well equipped with everything that you might need for your stay. Comfy beds, a good kitchen/lounge area, complete with secluded garden for outside dining. We found plenty of places to eat out in nearby Lanvallay but would recommend not travelling into Rennes by car! Visiting the beautiful St Malo is a must.

We had a good time at this wonderful little cottage, upstairs for tall Dutch people :) is was minding your head but everything was very neat and proper. The kitchen was fully equipped, not often that everything is available. We were also pleasantly surprised by the treats the host left behind and the beamer to watch movies in the evening. The garden is great with as special highlights for our kids the ping pong table. And although the weather was not always great we had the opportunity to eat outside everyday , plenty of room for that. The bikes were great (you need a little bit of a good condition as the surroundings are hilly). The place is a little bit in the middle of nowhere but with the tips from Miranda and all information available there is plenty to do. In 30 min drive you have wonderful beaches and of course the village of Dinan, Dinand , Saint Malo and Rennes. Overall we have a lovely time !

Awesome cottage close to the most lovely city in Brittany. The house has all you need and more. All questions were answered in record time - you couldn’t wish for a better host! We would definitely consider coming back.

A lovely well appointed cottage. The bedrooms were even nicer than the photos portrayed. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics plus a super welcome basket. We spent a long time reading in the garden which, again, was very pleasant. And, on top of everything, there is a friendly, resident cat.

We really loved to stay at Whileaway Cottage. We got a location plan in advance so it`s been no problem to find the Cottage. First of all, Miranda and Adam, the owner of the Cottage, are friendly, smart and interesting people, who welcomed us very warmly. We got a little basket with biscuites, Cidre, showergel etc. The Cottage is very well appointed, you got everything you need to cook, as well towels and bedclothes. It`s cosy and beautiful, surrounded by a garden full of flowers, where we liked to sit in the evening. One can visit Dinan, Dinard, Saint-Malo and other places of interest while staying at the Cottage. There`s a supermarket 10 minutes to drive by car and the beach is about 20 minutes to drive. We`d like to come back, maybe next year!
