'Palace' Oceanfront, Picturesque Cove & Semiprivate Beach

Wonderful that we could bring Fido (Trudy) with us althoughshe didn't like the waves at all,but she loved the porch and watching our neighbor picking sea glass.The house is great lots of ocean air and the sound of the waves crashing at high tide was great! There is alot of sea glass to be found on the beach.Great host and big thanks to Lorie who cleans the places, her insight and knowledge of everything was so beneficial and Everything was spotless.If you are a first timer, the bedrooms are a bit small but very comfortable. Loved our stay and the owner is available if needed, she is lovely!

Charming cottage with oceanview, Beautiful location with easy parking and everything needed inside the cottage. Private yard with a deck along with a outdoor grill. Host was fantastic with arrangements. Very professional with wonderful ideas for visiting the area. Bonus that the cottage was very pet friendly. We look forward to returning.

We had such an amazing time. A fantastic little beach cottage with an ocean view, perfect for watching the sunrise with a coffee. It is quintessential old New England. Simple, clean, quiet, and beautiful. A few steps from a little beach which me and family had a blast finding so much sea glass so a little beach. A quick drive into town, but we really had to reason to leave. The host was communicative, available for questions, knowledgeable and excited to share information of the area, activities and history. She went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Definitely will plan a trip back.

This felt like a cozy cottage that my favorite aunt lent me for the weekend. The host communicated very well how to get there, places of interest, expectations. The kitchen had utensils we needed. I was glad to choose bring my own linens; I have sensitive skin so it can be a gamble if I have a reaction. The cove is nice to relax in, though next time I'll have to bring a chair. The furnace works well as we came a little on the off season and needed it at night and part of a rainy day. Overall it was just the weekend away I was looking for. We brought our dog for her first trip away. There is a fenced in dog park a short drive away. I saw hiking trails too that we will try another time. Loved our stay and hope to return!

This was an amazing spot for us to enjoy Maine. The location was wonderful and Suzanne was an excellent hostess!

Suzanne was incredibly thorough, kind & helpful. She is also very responsive! The location was very peaceful and quiet, except for the tranquil sounds of crashing waves :-). The cottage is old but pleasantly charming. Definitely worth a return visit.

Such a sweet little cottage. The giant door to the deck was our favorite part. Being able to have it open to listen to the crashing waves was bliss.

Charming old cottage with gorgeous views. Off the beaten path but accessible to Portland, Kennebunkport and Old Orchard. Suzanne is an amazing source of information!

Please keep in mind my review is based on my standards and expectations. I did see photos before hand and knew the cottage was dated. The cottage had a bad smell. Opened windows to air out but could not remove odor. Sat on side and back porch in the evening to get some fresh air. Unfortunately the main house on the property has a 2-head security light that was very bright and was very unpleasant while trying to enjoy the evening air and scenery. The kitchen was in fine. The living room same as photo, but with dust on floor. The bedrooms were small. Poor mattress. Not a traditional mattress and was lumpy. Did not care for the sheets. Fabric was similar to a tee shirt material. Smelled clean but held previous hairs and debris. Bathroom towels mismatched with no continuity in folding. The bathtub had a few leftover dark hairs. The cottage has fun rustic windows, but whoever painted the window frames white did a messy job. They did not paper or tape off the window panes so paint is all over the glass which takes away from their charm and drives me crazy but maybe doesn't bother most people. The main house on the property causes an obstructed view. You can see a small view of the ocean, side view of the beach, and you can hear the surf. The owner Suzanne was great at communication, providing quite a bit of local information. I also had a possibility of cancelling and she was willing to work with me on that. Suzanne does love her property.

If you want to hear, see and smell the ocean, this is the best place to be! Shabby chic plus loaded with charm. Could use better beds.

We had a very relaxing few days in this vintage cottage where we spent most of the time on the deck overlooking the ocean. Ocean air and the sound of the waves as the tide comes onto the neighboring beach… what could be better?

So much potential in this Diamond in the rough. As a lover of old homes, the bones are great, but needs a lot of TLC. Furniture stained/ worn and outdoor furniture rusted and dysfunctional / towels smell like washer needs to be cleaned but location , Suzanne, the screened porches all divine:-) Kitchen is well stocked with pans/ pots and appointed with odds and ends like a college dorm thrift store. For 830 for three nights, maybe splurge on a really nice couch cover and nice chairs:-)

Location excellent, cottage adequate, interior furnishings ie kitchen, bedrooms, below standards for cost of booking.

Beach is right there!
