NORTHERN LIGHTS! Historic Storybook Beach Cottage at Tamarack Waterworks

The cottage was located in a very quiet area on a dead end road. You could hear and see Lake Superior from inside the home. The beach was private and easily accessible a minute away from the front door.

Very nice cabin, clean and well kept. We were able to visit 6 or more beaches within a 1 hours drive. Everything you need is available locally, groceries, gas….etc. would recommend for a Great getaway.

This may the most peaceful place in the UP. The beach is a rock hound paradise. The location is rich with upper michigan history. The cottage was very clean and well stocked. They have a very nice barrel sauna. We would love to visit again for a longer stay. This would be a great family friendly and pet friendly choice for your UP get away.

Cute cottage with private access to Lake Superior. We stayed in the red cottage and it was a perfect home base for us to come back to after rock hounding all day. We found a couple of agates and yooperlites on the beach at the cottage too! Very cozy and quiet - we slept like rocks!

We loved the location, very cute and welcoming. We enjoyed the sauna and watched the storms come in over the water.

It is a beautiful cottage in a surreal setting viewing Lake Superior and endless nature. The owner has done an incredible job with comfy bedding and nice furniture.

The sauna was a nice addition to our stay. The only disappoint was no DVD player that was listed under amenities. But not a dealBreaker would certainly stay there again.

Yes, the lake views are the best that we have stayed at and we have been up here about 5 times over several years. The whole vibe was great... my wife and I are rockhounds and the rocky beaches make it very desirable for us, can't say enough about Phillip our host. was so friendly and personable. We already looking forward to 3 weeks next year,Also, the cabins that we have stayed in on our many trips are Fantastic

This was an amazing property and we can’t wait to come back! The lake access was perfect and it is a great place to see the Northern Lights! We enjoyed every minute!

The cottage had everything we needed, and the proximity to Lake Superior made it even better. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, highly recommend!

This cottage is very comfortable in a safe, calm and peaceful setting. It had everything we needed and we were even able to borrow dog beds to make sure our dogs didn't get cozy on furniture! It is a perfect location to explore Copper country. We did several hikes in the area including Mt. Baldy, Black Creek, Eagle Harbor trails, Horseshoe Harbor, and the trail in the town of Central. After hiking in the rain one day, we fired up the common sauna for some extra relaxation.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely beach cottage. The views of Lake Superior were stunning. It was like having our own private beach for the week with Lake Superior only a few steps away. The summer porch was a favorite and got lots of use.

The property is absolutely perfect. The location on Lake Superior could not get any better. We enjoyed the wildlife, sunsets, and cozy cabin. Thanks for a great stay!

In one beautiful fall October weekend, we saw incredible sunsets over Lake Superior, a double rainbow, and the Northern Lights. The home was so comfortable and the check in and check out processes were well communicated. We made some amazing family memories. Highly recommend.
