We really enjoyed our stay at Highland Cottage! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The location is great as it's close to the beaches as well as downtown. We started our days well rested, had fun in the many wonderful places to enjoy during the day, and then came back to the Cottage to relax and relish the fun we had. A lovely place to start and end the day- and to rest in between too! Thanks Kit!

My 3 friends and I came here for our girls trip and had the best time !!!! Kit was quick to get back to me with any questions i had and was extremely nice! Judy worked so hard so we could check in few hours earlier then planned and she did a fabbbbb job ! I mean the cleanest property Ive ever stayed in !! We love that! It was 10 min from charleston , 10 min from folly beach!! close to an awesome BBQ joint , that we thoroughly enjoyed ! 10/10 the entire experience !!

In town for a wedding and this was a perfect spot. Smaller bedrooms but was perfect for what we needed. Loved having a bathroom for each bedroom. Great private sitting area outside too.

Kitchen was fully equipped and functional. I would suggest adding some dry creamer to the coffee supplies. We enjoyed having breakfast out on the deck. We would do it again

The house is so cute, well decorated, and had everything we needed. I loved the location - quick drive into Charleston and a quick drive to Folly Beach, but out of the hustle and bustle. I wanted to use the fire pit, but couldn't make it happen. It is very inviting though! I would absolutely recommend staying here!

This place was amazing to stay at!!! Super easy to get around to everything but so wonderful to have quiet after the busy days!!! Grocery stores very close. Highly recommend the bbq place next door !!! Kit is amazing and super easy to communicate with … would definitely recommend and if we ever come to Charleston would love to stay again!!

It had everything we needed

The place was clean and well equipped. It had a lovely patio and yard with fire pit. It was a great location for accessing Folly Beach and McLeod Plantation which is well worth the visit for Gullah history. It was also easy access to everything in Charleston, and relaxing to return to after a long day.

Cozy and casual with all the comforts of a beach cabin, just not on the beach. Private feel with easy access to Folly Beach and downtown Charleston and the airport. Great place for a family vacation with 2 rooms and bath, nice layout. Really enjoyed our time here! Thanks Kit!

This was a great place to stay for our group of four. The host was so responsive to anything we needed and the check in & out processes was easy. The location is just far enough away from all the craziness of downtown but close enough it was easy to uber to. The inside was so cute and had everything we needed and outside had a nice deck and firepit. We would definitely stay here again if we go to Charleston.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. Good proximity to downtown but away from the hussle and bustle. Walking distance for groceries as well as numerous pubs/restaurants. Communication was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

This duplex is a great location for a quick and easy drive to Folly Beach and to Charleston. The unit had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay and was clean upon arrival. The air conditioning units were key and helped to reduce the dampness in the air. I would stay again.

Great place to stay if you're wanting to explore Charleston and surrounding areas. Clean, well furnished, cozy and quiet! Close to Folly Beach and minutes from Charleston, Isle of Palms, store, golf courses, museums and restaurants. We would stay at this place again!

This was our first time using VRBO and we had a great experience. The owner is kind and responds quick. The place was very clean and modern, the pictures don’t do it justice! This place looks even better in person! Great spot between downtown and Folly Beach. Having beach chairs on the property for us to use was very nice. Thank you for having us and we will for sure be back!

We had a great stay at this unit. The kitchen/living area was spacious and clean, the outdoor area was lovely and private, and the bbq joint next door was a huge bonus. We were traveling with our baby and needed a crib, which was mentioned in the listing but not in the unit when we arrived, but Kit was able to provide one very quickly.

We had a great overall experience from check-in to check-out. Communication was great, location was easy to find, and instructions for the stay were clearly communicated.We arrived to an ice maker full of ice and cold AC. The location is extremely convenient to all the local restaurants, grocery stores and a short drive to Folly Beach or Downtown. Beds were comfortable and clean as was the rest of the property. It was great to have two bathrooms for those post beach showers and the outside had an outdoor shower and hose for rinsing off if needed.We didn't utilize all the outdoor amenities in our short stay, but it was great to have beach chairs provided so we didn't have to bring our own.Overall we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend.

The property was absolutely amazing. It had a little bit of everything. The outdoor are was phenomenal in the afternoon as it gave the family time to play outside after our day at the beach. The house itself felt like a home. The family and I have put this on our list of favorites and will plan to come back again!

This is a gem in the inside but deceptively not on first outside glance. The place could have used some shelving in bathrooms. Maybe a better cupboard for dishes. We are older and getting down on the floor to get the dishes was a bit hard. But the place was overall great for four of us. Great outside sitting and a great grill.

Excellent location for a stay in Charleston! Two bedrooms and two baths and all the amenities if you want to go to the beach or just hang out around the fire pit. Communication with the host was amazing and cleanliness was top notch!

Loved the cottage, so clean. Great location. Easy access to downtown. Front room TV doesn't get a good connection to live TV even after the TV was swapped out. Our party of 4 agreed that matresses on both beds were a bit too soft, but perhaps might be better suit with a mattress platform in between the mattress and box springs. They had coils in them and the were squeaky. They might be ok for young people or those who don't have bad backs. Just a suggestion. The platforms are affordable and can be purchased on Amazon. People use them to provide more comfort on sofa sleepers. Regarding the TV, a booster is not sufficient enough, it needs its own box. The place is really nice though. I ended up casting youtube live TV from my ipad to the TV in the livingroom to bypass the buffering issue.

Everything in the home was as pictured. It was close to the beach and May places we visited were less than 20 minutes away. Unfortunately, a few things were not to my satisfaction; towel had (perceived) makeup stains that didn’t come out in the wash, spiderwebs in some places and the countertop ice maker had a dirty reservoir which was not discovered until after we’d used the ice for 2 days. So, to the naked eye things are very satisfactory and I’m not sure I’d stay again.

Kit's little getaway was perfect for our family of 4. The rooms were quiet and we never heard either street noise or people in the adjacent unit. The kitchen was well-appointed although we mostly dined around town. The countertop ice machine was a nice bonus! Our communication was easy and quick, parking was easy and generous, and we regret not having time to enjoy the outdoor sitting area in the yard.

The cottage is in a great location. You can walk/run for pleasure or exercise.It's close to downtown, not too far from the beach and other attractions.It's a comfortable size for 4 adults.The property is well kept.

Our last-minute stay, due to a family member in the Charleston Hospital, was made so much easier thanks to Kit's incredible hospitality. She is truly a fantastic owner!The house was even better than my own home. The little details were lovely. The outdoor space with a fire pit and grill was a nice touch. The beds were super comfy and there were plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The drive to Charleston Hospital was a breeze, which was the main reason for our stay at the VRBO. I highly recommend both the owner and this charming little VRBO! I can't wait to come back for a vacation under better circumstances and simply enjoy visiting Kit and her beautiful home! My wife and I spent 2 weeks over the 2024 Christmas and New Years. Or stay at the cottage was very convenient for us. Shopping and restaurants were abundant and workout facilities were a plus, all in waking distance. The cottage was well stocked and clean. Beds were comfortable.

Could not say enough great things about this rental!! The Host was SO helpful and accommodating to our group. The house was a hidden gem, was so clean, beautiful and the perfect size. The rental is a short Uber ride to downtown.

Everything was perfect. She has everything a person needs in this apartment-coffee, laundry supplies, shampoo, beach towels and chairs, and when I enquired about an issue, she was there taking care of it the next morning (and it was a very minor question). Location was so convenient to Folly Beach, downtown, plantation and restaurants within walking distance.
