Property: Secluded, very well maintained, nice flowers and accents to the house. The view is fantastic. You can sit on the back porch and watch the boats, the birds, hummingbirds coming to the hummingbird feeder. Kitchen: Very nice. There's are an assortment of teas, two kettles., spices are fully stocked. There are plenty of pots and pans and measuring cups and nice utensils. They also left us a complimentary bottle of wine. I'm not a drinker but my wife had a few glasses and said it was good. A Napa brand. All the plates and bowls are good quality.Bathroom: Quality pump bottle of body soap, shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of room on the counters to spread out a little bit. There is a guest book that has lots of menus from restaurants in Port Angeles. There is a couple of sheets on the property and all the friendly reminders of how to manage the property, including the Wi-Fi password,For the walkers : For those of us that like to get up and get some exercise early there are two good quick local options. 1. In the neighborhood: Walk down to the end of the road, walk down the hill about half a mile, hang a right on Henry Boyd which loops back to the house 2. Morse Creek Discovery trail is a 10-minute drive. It's very flat which I thought maybe would be boring. But pleasantly surprised. It was kind of a Best of both worlds who you get the wooded area and all the enchantment of that world. And then it opens up into the strait where you get a Ocean Beach vibe.

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect location for our hikes. April was responsive and gave us a list of grocery stores and restaurants— our favorite was Kokopelli (we went both nights). The touch of wine was thoughtful and we enjoyed it our last night on the deck overlooking the strait. We hope to come back again.

The inside of this rental was clean, comfortable and came with many amenities. It is quiet and has a lovely view with hummingbirds at the feeder in the window. My hesitation about this rental comes from the lead up to actually staying there. The owner emailed me multiple times, each in ALL CAPS with multiple exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are many rules, which were also emailed multiple times and resulted in us feeling unwelcome. My husband and I were visiting a friend and former colleague who lives in the area and were looking forward to having her over for a glass of wine to spend time reconnecting and enjoying the view. The owner wanted the names and contact information of anyone who came over. No one else except the named persons were allowed on the property. Our friend felt so uncomfortable with this that she decided not to come over. This owner also required a photo of my drivers license and my credit card # on her own contract, even though I had provided all the necessary information on the VRBO site. The owner did not explain why she needed this federal ID or how she planned to keep my personal information safe. In the listing for this rental was a photo of a bistro set on the deck overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca. This was a selling point for sure and looked like a great place to relax. In reality, the bistro set was covered in lichen, to the point of being unusable and had a plant on it with a sign asking renters to water the plant.

This property is in a beautiful location and the home is gorgeous. We enjoyed the quiet and the deck view was stunning. The house itself is cozy and everything we needed was available for us. I do think the rules and the contract to sign was a little over the top but they didn't bother us as is it was common sense and normal respect of someone else's property.

This little cottage was all we could ask for. Great view across the San Juan Strait into British Columbia and Victoria as well as Salt Spring Island, which we knew because we’re cycling there the week before. We were perfectly positioned to visit a number of places in the Olympic Peninsula, including Hurricane Ridge and adjacent trails, Hoh rainforest and Rialto Beach. The cottage was lovely and away from the hustle and bustle of Port Angeles. Very quiet and secluded in the best of ways.

This is a lovely cottage with an amazing view. The house itself if clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated, and if you cook, the kitchen is very well equipped. It's far enough outside of town that it's perfectly quiet, but close enough that it's only a few minutes if you need to run to the grocery store. The cottage is located not too far from any number of highlights in Olympic National Park, and even the Pacific coast is a reasonable (and beautiful) drive. Check-in and check-out were easy as could be. Highly recommended!

The Mt. Pleasant cabin was very comfortable, private, and adorable! We loved the hummingbirds, beautiful view of the Stait of Juan de Fuca, and convenient location to the Port Angeles area. We explored Hurricane Ridge and Crescent Lake, which were easy to get to from this quaint cabin resort. We would live to visit again!

We were extremely pleased with the cottage - beautifully and intentionally decorated, with everything you could possibly want, including a generously stocked kitchen. The view is a constant pleasure; the neighborhood is very quiet; the cottage is very comfortable; April is easy to work with and went out of her way for us; and access to town and to Olympic National Park are easy. This is by far the best rental we've ever experienced.

We love this cottage! Although we live in Texas, we absolutely love the Northwest. This was our second visit. The first was 10 years ago for our 20th wedding anniversary. We loved it so much that we returned to celebrate our 30th. Everything was perfect. The views are amazing. Everything needed for cooking in the well-appointed kitchen is available. It’s close enough to town but the perfect distance away. Our host was readily available for any questions or special requests. We will definitely be back again.
