Close to the beach, beautiful screened in front porch and a wonderful pool in the backyard when you are tired of the sand. Added bonus of it being pet friendly. Mermaid Cottages was very helpful with our last-minute booking due to travel plans changing. Their wonderful customer service is why we always book through them! Thank you again ladies!

This is just the cutest cottage. Perfectly situated on the island, where you are close to everything, but still feels private. We loved the pool and beach access was also close by. The house is stocked with games, chairs, toys, floats, etc. It was perfect getaway for our little family and we will definitely be back! Bonus points for allowing us to bring our pup along for the trip. Probably one of our most favorite VRBO houses to date.

Miss Opals was cozy! I would only make a suggestion for an air conditioner window unit in the pool house. And possibly cut back soE of the foliage in the back yard. I would highly recommend this place. We had a great time. If you do stay here in fall months ask them to have the heater on before you get there. Seemed like it took two days to get the water warm.

The pool was perfect and loved the pool house TV for GA football viewing from the pool. The location is a short walk to the 17th Street beach entrance.

We spent most of our time floating in the pool and chatting and relaxing. Ms. Opals provided us with an oasis from everyday stress and just let us hang out! It definitely put us in vacation mode as soon as we got there. Plus - we know that Mermaid Cottages are going to be stocked with all the essentials we will need - that helps get the vacation underway quickly. Thanks again Mermaids for a terrific trip to Tybee!

We loved the pool, the screened in big porch and the cottage itself. It was beautifully decorated and had all amenities needed. LOVED our stay at Opal's Cottage. We stayed for 7 days. It was the perfect size for 4 adults and so many thoughtful details for guests. The cottage was very clean & there was relaxing music playing to welcome us! The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The sheets, pillows and quilts were top notch. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Both bathrooms included high quality towels and some toiletries which we loved. The washer and dryer was very convenient for a midweek load of laundry and towels. The central air conditioning kept the cottage exceptionally cool. It was so amazing to come back to a perfectly cool vacation home! Now the best parts of the cottage are absolutely the backyard, pool and the front enclosed porch... Every morning we had our coffee on the porch while enjoying the sounds of nature all around us. The entire property has beautiful foliage which made us feel like we were in a tropical paradise 3. The pool house was awesome, filled with floats, beach chairs, & lounge chairs. The TV was awesome... We were able to watch the Phillies game from inside the pool! Finally, the Pool... Wow... it was perfect. We loved that it was heated so you could just walk right in, while still staying perfectly cool. We enjoyed it for hours every day! Finally, the staff at Mermaid Cottages were amazing and available to help us with anything we needed! Thank you 3

Even when the weather was chilly the heated pool was still perfect to swim in. It was my wife’s birthday and Tammy was amazing and very much so tentative with whatever we needed. I would love to stay in this same home on our next vacation to Tybee Island.

Charming and so quiet in the off season

They never fail to tend to every detail and will check with you to make sure no needs remain. They are always so kind and welcoming. This trip was made even more special for me by them leaving a sweet card and gift to celebrate my retirement. We have stayed in at least 5 of their properties and each one has its own unique style and charm. We will certainly continue checking different cottages off of our must-stay list.

And when you are ready to get some terrific food, you are only a three-minute walk from excellent breakfast, yummy bagel sandwiches, and a plethora of desserts. Plus, a fantastic ocean view is just a few blocks away.
