Miles Landing - Waterfront Cottage in Kawartha Lakes (Gull River)

Welcome to your waterfront escape on the Gull River in the Kawartha Lakes (Norland).

Our 3000 square foot family-friendly cottage on the water makes for the perfect escape. Enjoy your morning coffee with a spectacular view of the water, have a family game night in the rec room with movie theatre style popcorn, and end your night around the fire making s'mores.


The open concept main level includes a large kitchen with an oversized island, dining area, and a living room with fireplace - all to which opens up to the large wrap around deck; making it a perfect space to enjoy a meal and the view.

The deck off the main level includes a BBQ, Blackstone Grill, outdoor dining area for 8 and a separate seating area for lounging.

The basement level is perfect for relaxing and spending time with your family. There is a sectional that can be pushed together to make the perfect space to cuddle up and watch a movie. Enjoy the array of board games, puzzles, and books that are available or challenge your friends/family to a game of pool. The basement also features a full bathroom (with bathtub), a bunk room/playroom for children (toys, crafts, and many baby essentials are available), as well as 2 additional bedrooms. This area walks out to the back yard/dock (door equipped with a chime alarm to alert if children go outside).


Our space is perfectly situated on an inlet of the Gull River. Shallow entry off the rocks or deep enough to enjoy the water trampoline and floating lily pad off the dock. This small area does not allow motorized boats (with the boat launch only a five minute drive away); making it an ideal spot for children to swim or for you to enjoy the kayaks/paddle board peacefully. If you are bringing a motorized watercraft, the boat launch will allow you to access the Trent Severn Waterway.



COTTAGE FEATURES INCLUDE:

Spring, Summer and Fall Activities: kayaks (2), paddle board, river tubes (2), water trampoline, floating water mat, children and adult sized life jackets, badminton/volleyball net, outdoor yard games.

Winter Activities: we are close to many winter activities- skiing, sledding, ice fishing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice skating and other winter activities.

Hiking and Trails: there are many beautiful trails to enjoy all over the Kawartha Lakes, be sure to check out the townships website to get exact locations.


Kitchen: large kitchen with oversized island, full size fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, ice maker, array of small appliances (toaster, air fryer, blender, kettle, waffle maker), UV water purification system, coffee maker, french press and espresso machine (coffee, tea, and espresso pods provided), kitchen essentials (spices and oil), children's dinnerware.

Indoor Entertainment: Smart TV (2) with Netflix/Disney+ available, starlink wi-fi, board games, puzzles, books, children's art supplies and toys, pool table, movie theatre style popcorn machine with seasoning, margaritaville blender, bluetooth speaker.

Outdoor: BBQ, Blackstone grill, BBQ utensils, outdoor dining area for 8, seating area, hammock, fire pit, roasting sticks and pie irons.

Additional Amenities: Linens, bath towels, washer/dryer, laundry soap, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, fully stocked kitchen and coffee bar, propane, sound machine in each room, extra pillows/blankets.
Please note we do not provide fire wood or beach towels.



There are exterior security cameras on the property that face the front and back door. Cameras are not monitored during duration of stay.
