Mediterranean inspired luxury in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, near Great Tew

My husband and I loved staying in Beechnut at Heath Farm. I had stayed at the Farm about 10 years ago with my parents and thought of it often over the years. When my husband and I started planning our trip to the UK (his first visit), I knew where we had to stay! The setting is beautiful and peaceful, overflowing with flowers and those classic green rolling hills you envision when thinking of the English countryside. The cottage was a great size and had a particularly lovely bathroom and bedroom. Small touches likes sourdough bread and cakes baked on the property really made it special. You can get to most of the idyllic Cotswolds towns within a 30 minute drive which makes it well located. I would love to stay again someday soon!

Mt husband and I were very pleased with the cottage we stayed in for 3 nights. It was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The owners and staff were extremely helping and informative. We would have no problem recommending the cottage to others.

After reading reviews, we had high hopes for our 4 weeks at Heath Farm. The Barbour family, the beauty of the farm, and the thoughtfully designed cottage exceeded our expectations! The courtyard area is relaxing and peaceful. The gardens are lovely. Beechnut is well-appointed and laid out so that spending a month there was thoroughly enjoyable. The farm is inspirational in how they are using and caring for the land. The games room and field are fun no matter the weather. The Barbours are all delightful as are those who help care for the cottages. Heath Farm has become a favorite place and we hope we get to return!

Thank you Barbour family for another lovely week at your gorgeous farm. Beechnut is a beautiful two person cottage. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped and very comfortable. the grounds are stunning, and we have enjoyed the wildlife on our daily walks.

We stayed at Heath Farm for most of a month on a sabbatical. The staff was helpful and gracious. The quiet and connection with nature was what we needed.

Beechnut cottage is a lovely place to stay, log fire, everything you need if cooking, bed very comfortable, good power shower, games room with instruments to play, darts, pool table, computer. Area quite with lovely gardens to sit or take a walk. The owners couldn't do enough for you and all very pleasant to talk to. this is second visit and we will come again.

After a warmly welcome we moved into our Cottage. It is lovingly decorated and on the Table, we found a fresh bouquet of flowers, the ordered cake and the muesli. The courtyard with the waterfall and many plants invites you to relax, read, enjoy tea and unwind. The ground with all its trees, flowers and shrubs invite you to go for walks, have picnics or play croquet. We really enjoyed our stay at Beechnut Cottagge (Heath Farm) and would recommend it to everyone.

Beechnut is a brilliant property with its very attractive and comfortable furniture and fittings. It is really warm and cosy and is also well equipped. I loved the lake, surrounding beautiful woods and nut orchards which make for great walks. The owners and their staff could not be more helpful. It was a dream come true for me.

Didn’t want to leave. Quiet. Comfortable. Warm. Well equipped. Not stingy with tea towels, dish washer tablets or fire wood (which has been the case at other places). Such a lovely and inspiring location. Also a good base for visiting other places. Well sign-posted (but the actual entrance is hard to see at night). We are making our plans to stay again.

Returning guests……we just feel very at home in this lovely environment with such conviviality from lovely host family. We’re back again very soon in Beechnut Cottage for another stay…..what more can we say !

We had our wedding here so all the cottages were booked out for the family. Everyone was taken aback by the care and attention paid to every detail. The cottages were a delight - cosy, quiet, comfortable Everyone at the wedding said they’d be looking in to booking their own weekend away at Heath Farm; it’s immaculate and so are all the cottages.
